Chapter 13

~~~~~Mellon's Pov~~~~~

I woke up wrapped in thick blankets, and Joe's arms. It was so hot that I was starting to sweat. I wiggled out of the blankets I tried to stand up, but my legs instantly fell asleep, and I fell on top of Joe who was sleeping. He woke up with a scare.

"Mell... your Ok!" He cheered, hugging me tightly.

I couldn't hug him back for I was felling weak and numb. He tried to kiss me, but before he could, I let out a nasty sneeze, and buggers came from my nose. I felt embarrassed.

"Oh Mell, you have a fever." He said felling my forehead. "I will get you some tissues and medicine."

He got up and left into another room. I was sitting on the floor waiting for him. I kept thinking about Earth. Was it him that saved me, or Joe. It's hard to remember when your frozen and half unconscious. If it was Joe I wonder what Earth would do if he found out that I was missing. Then I noticed that I wasn't in the same ship that I came in. It was much smaller and only had three rooms.

"Joe?" I called out.

"I'll be right there Mell." He answered.

He came over with a box of tissues and a bottle of medicine. He wiped my nose with the tissue and gave me some medicine and water.

"Here, this should help with your cold." He said.

"I thought you said I had a fever....Achoo!" I questioned.

Joe shrugged. "Well, it's kinda... both?"

I sighed. "Did you, um, see the..."

"Alien?" Joe finished.

I nodded my head.

"Yes, He saved you. Right when I came he was running to the shuttle carrying you, and some plants in his hands. I didn't expect them to be so tall." He said. "He was covered in the ice too, but you were worse."

"We need to apologize to them...Achoo!" I said stuffing my nose with tissues.

"Us?" Joe asked.

"No, all of us...Humanity."

Joe sat up and scratched the back of his neck nervously.

"Yeah, I heard what happened." Joe mentioned. "But I'm not to sure who started the fight."

"Wait what do you mean who?" I asked.

Joe went over how it all started. How humans were trying to help them, and how it all went wrong. It made me think too, who started it? But what we did was wrong, even if it was an accident, we shouldn't have fought back, we should have apologised at the beginning.

"We still need to-"

*Beep!* *Beep!* *Beep!* *Beep!*

Joe scrambled to his feet and went to check on what was going on.

"Is every thing Ok?" I asked.

"Hold on Mell!" He said.

"Ok..."

"No! Really hold onto something!" He yelled.

My heart raced, I had no clue what was gonna happen or how bad it was. The beeping got louder and louder. I crawled over a pipe that stuck out of the wall, and wrapped my arms around it tightly.

"Joe...!" I yelled. "Whats going on?!"

"A bunch of asteroids are heading towards us!" He warned "I'm gonna go to hyper speed to dodge them!"

I was starting to freak out. Suddenly I felt the small ship speeding up slowly, then it began to shake violently. We have been hit. Then we took off at an extreme speed.
