Chapter 13

Ash's P.O.V

Ciera is so close to my face. Her chocolate brown eyes staring into mine.

I could just kiss her right there and then but..knowing her, she would just pull away.

The silence was long. Long enough for her to realize our position.

She pulled away and turned to face away from me. I have a feeling that she's embarrassed.

I just stared at her long dark brown hair. Wondering what to do next.

Should I leave her alone to think. Should I approach her.

Ciera's P.O.V

I don't why I was so embarrassed. I turned my back on him again. Why is this always the resort of my confusion?

I don't know what to do. I don't know why I feel like this. I've never felt like this before.

I turned around and faced him hoping that I looked calm. "Uhh, Ash? You remember what Dani said?"

He looked at me questioningly. I continued "This is a place for jumping not chatting." forcing a smile. I bet my smile looked awkward.

I grabbed him by the hands and dragged him to the trampolines. At first he looked confused. He must think I'm bipolar but really I just wanted to forget about it.

I didn't mean to be so spontaneous but I really want to forget about that. I didn't want anything awkward between us so I just let it brush off.

Hopefully he felt the same and just forgot about it.

After a few minutes of jumping, I saw Tom and Jake and Dani and Ella coming towards us. I got really nervous and I also noticed that Ash was shooting daggers at the guys again.

I really didn't know much about the two guys. I didn't even see them in class. Which got me thinking. Are these two people really in my class?

I turned to Ash to ask him before the two guys and the twins approached us.

"Hey, are they really in our class?"

"Yeah. Their the players in our class. They have a different girl every week. I don't trust them at all."

How come I've never noticed them before? Since Ash knows them they must be famous or something. Well maybe its because I don't notice the people around me because I'm scared to be judged.Now I also know why Ash seems infuriated when they approached me.

"Hey birthday girl." said Tom

"Hey" I can hear my voice cracking of nervousness.

"So who's your angry friend." Jake said with a chuckle

"Oh, him. This is Ash." I sort of pushed Ash infront of me and I felt he was burning hot. I guess anger really does make you boil.

"Hey man, I don't think we've been properly introduced this is-"Jake was cut off by Ash

"I know who you guys are. Don't you dare play with my friends' hearts." He said before storming off.

"Whoa. What's with that dude?" Tom asked confused

I smiled and went to Dani and Ella "Uhm can you excuse us?"

They nodded and I took the twins to the side.

"Guys, you know Ash said that they're players and that they're trouble. I think you should stay away from them." I warned them

"Don't worry Ciera. We can take care of ourselves." Dani replied while Ella nodded.

"Yeah. They break our hearts, we break their faces." Ella replied while showing her fist.

"Ok. If you need me I'll be there. But you know to what extent." I said with a smile.

"Yes yes. We'll update you if anything happens ok?" Dani said while shaking my shoulders.

"Yeah fine." I replied trying to act annoyed.

We returned to Tom and Jake who were pushing each other on the trampoline in a playful way.

"Hey girls. Shall we go ahead and jump?" Tom asked

"Sure" the twins replied

"Uhm, I'll just look for Ash." I said. They all nodded and started jumping.

I went to look for Ash. I found him at the cafeteria. Strangling a bottle of water.

"What did that bottle ever do to you?" I said jokingly

"Huh?"

I pointed at the bottle which was about to burst.

"Oh" He said and loosened his grip

I sat beside him and asked him in a jamaican voice. (Yeah Jamaican voice. I'm that comfortable with my friends.) "What's the problem man? Why so stressed?"

He laughed so hard the water almost squirted out his nose. I guess my Jamaican accent was a fail.

When he finally calmed down he said " Well I don't remember now because of that failed Jamaican accent!" He continued laughing and I laughed with him.

When we finally calmed down " No really. You just saw the two guys and you blew like a volcano."

"No I didn't just, just forget about it."

"Come on Ash. I'm your best friend. You can tell me anything"

"No just forg-"

"Ash." I told him with a serious tone

"It's just that I thought they were flirting with you and uh"

"Ash? Are you jealous."

He scratched his head and sort of hid his face. It made me smile a bit. Aww my best friend is jealous. It shows me that he cares. How sweet.

I didn't question him further. I didn't want to make him more embarrassed than he already was. Then he stood up and grabbed me by the hand.

"Come on Ciera. Forget about it let's just jump."

We both brushed it off and had a lot of fun. We just enjoyed our day. Though Tom and Jake were there, I tried my best to distract Ash so he wouldn't blow up again.
