Few more chapters left.... Tissue anyone? haha😭
Contrary to what Jennie wanted to happen- or at least what she said she wanted to happen, Lisa appeared in front of their castle a week after Jennie's birthday.
Jennie really didn't want to say those words. She didn't really mean to say them, but she got the feeling that that's what she needed to say. She got that feeling that instead of trying to be as close as she can be to Lisa, she should stay as far as she can be from Lisa.
Jennie needed to distance herself. She needed to push Lisa away instead of pulling her closer to her.
Maybe- Yeah, maybe doing that would result in something that was in favor of her. Jennie isn't sure about that though. She isn't sure if doing that would really end in her favor. But there's also a part of her that has already lost hope, so she doesn't want to deal with that anymore.
Jennie didn't want to see Lisa again but at the same time, she wanted to. She didn't want to hear Lisa's voice again, but at the same time, she wanted to- Jennie was dying to hear Lisa's voice again.
Jennie couldn't help but think that if she didn't say those words, would things be better than what was happening now? Will she finally return to being a human? Will she be happy with Lisa?
Jennie bet she would. She bet that she would no longer need to cry until her eyes got tired and then fall asleep. She bet, she was holding Lisa every night: getting the cold night, warm and confessing their love for each other over and over again. If only- If only.
Lisa was standing nervously in front of the door. She was contemplating if she would knock or just leave. After all, the beast she met last week said clearly to her that she shouldn't come here again.
The blonde isn't sure why she was there either. Yesterday, when her father suggested that she should visit the people 'who saved them' to thank them, she didn't refuse. Even though she couldn't recall what exactly happened that day. Even though those people were strangers to her, she agreed with her father and was now standing in front of the castle.
For some reason, Lisa was nervous. But she just assumed that it was only because she was in an environment that she didn't know fully well. It was because she was going to meet people that she didn't know.
