You know Cole basically told me to not talk to Violet before we walked into her hospital room. Yeah, I kinda have other plans because of some promise I made.
Which now lead to me saying I'm going to the restroom when in reality I'm now holding Violet's hand as she tells me everything that has been bothering her. It happened so quickly that i couldn't even stop it.
"I don't know if you'll get it but I felt so alone and at the same time I really enjoyed it, you know? It sounds weird but-" "No," I cut her off. "It doesn't sound weird."
She huffs, staring at the ceiling since I made her stay in bed when I walked in. "Thank you." my eyes snap from her hands to her eyes in confusion. "For what?"
She lets out a laugh. The girl that was gone for a month, going through hell just laughed for me. That gorgeous laugh.
"Obviously for being here idiot," she smiles. "I mean, I don't know who saved me but I guess you were part of it." for a moment my heart stops beating and then I remember her thinking I was outside the house waiting for her.
"Violet you know you don't have to thank me for any-" I stop myself when in a swift movement her arms wrap themselves around my neck and she nuzzles her face into my neck. I freeze but quickly put my hands around her which is hard since she's still laying down and I'm sat on a chair but it still feels so right.
Her hugging and touching me just feels so good and it makes my heart feel so warm. That sounds fucking crazy but I love that. I don't know what it is but I like this clingy side of her. She shows me the need of her needing me and that's what I want. I want her to need me to protect her, I want a second chance at protecting her and I will not fail at that anymore.
"I missed you." I feel her hot breath on my neck as a shiver crawls up my spine. "I missed you too." my hand rubs her back as her breathing is more calm now.
"Are you feeling any better now?" I mutter, my lips touching her shoulder the lightest bit. I don't know why but since we got her back I just can't hold back anymore. I can't keep my eyes nor hands off of her and it's actually bad.
"Yeah, honestly I want to get out of here already." a small smile spreads out on my lips. "You need rest Violet." "I know, I know big guy."
"Did you just call me big guy?" I raise an eyebrow at her and she lays back down, giggling. "Don't like it? I think it fits." I shake my head at her which only makes her laugh. "You are like really big you know, like tall." she says. "I'll take that as a compliment?" I chuckle.
