The Breakout

Chapter 2

As the next day approaches, we are still in lockdown and there's nothing to do. Me and Alex were bored out of our minds.

"What shall we do?" Alex asks.

"I don't know" I replied

There was a announcement it said: "Can all inmates stay in their blocks and wait till we announce which one goes first for breakfast"

Luckily, we were first. So me and Alex walked together to the dining hall. As soon as we sat down, the other inmates started questioning if I was Alex's bitch.

"No why would I?" I said. I looked at Alex she looked a little upset, I was wondering if I said something wrong. I had a gut feeling that she likes me but I don't want to question myself about it.

"Anyway, how has your couple of days being in here?" asked another inmate I replied with "its been shit, the lockdown is killing me" they all started laughing. 

It was time to go back to our cells, so I walked alone because I started to feel that it was best to avoid my feelings towards Alex. But she ran towards me and asked "well what was that about?" I stayed silent. We got to our bunks Alex was just glaring at me.

"What are you looking at?!" I snap.

She said "oh umm- admiring you"

I blushed a little but I managed to hide it as if it was nothing.

"Thanks I guess"

She came up to me and gave me the tight hug then whispers "I really like you, you make me feel safe" I was speechless.

"I like you too" I was thinking nothing of it. 

After that, we got another announcement that lockdown was over! me and Alex were so happy! But it was time for work so I had to go to the cleaning cupboard. I got all my supplies and got to work. For some reason, I didn't feel so good. My stomach had a sharp pain. I kneeled on to the floor in pain. An officer came up to me and asked if I was okay "Oh yeah sure, not like I'm in pain!, take me to medical"

I got rushed there quickly as possible. Turned out my appendix was swelling. The medics told me to rest for awhile so i did. After a few days in medical Alex ran up to me all worried and asked if I was okay. 

I got back to my bunk and chilled for a bit. An inmate walked straight into my cell and started calling me worse then shit so I got up and argued back

"look here you little bitch dont disturb my peace" I shouted.

Suddenly, Alex runs in, grabs them and throws them to the floor, hitting their head.

"Holy shit Alex! I didn't know you had that in you, your so quiet around here." Next minute, I hear officers heading this way.

"VAUSE get on the floor your going in the shoo". I got up and told them to get off her but wouldn't listen to me.

"Bastards" I mutter. The guards ordered me to get on the floor and got handcuffs on me "kinky much" I mumbled. Now, I was off to the shoo. 

Sometime after I was sat bored on the bed "Raya!" I hear someone call my name.

I was confused but I recognised the voice "Oh my god is that you Alex?" I answered "yes you dummy" we both laughed.

We spent the next however long chatting away... At least I have her.
