"you're so gorgeous! i can't say anything to your face! cause look at your face! you're gorgeous!" i sung with aaliyah as we drove to the restaurant.

"babes! you do realize you like this man so much you are singing along to taylor swift, right?" she laughed and turned down the volume.

i paused and laughed with her.

"i haven't seen you like this in forever!"

"i know! matt is just so..." i grinned. words couldn't describe how much i liked the kid.

"are you going tell him tonight?" she wiggled her shoulders.

i nodded vigorously and laughed.

"ok! no more talking! more taylor swift!" i turned the volume back up and continued singing until we got to the restaurant.

i turned down the music as we pulled into the parking lot.

"are they here?" she asked me, looking around.

"i'm not sure... do you see a gray mini van anywhere?"

"oh! that one?" she pointed to the car i had in mind.

i nodded as she parked the car.

i opened the mirror on the visor and checked my makeup.

"you look gorgeous, babes. i think you will be good." she smiled.

"thank you. i'm so nervous!"

"don't be! that kid likes you more than anything! i think you are more than fine."

"yeah i know, but still!"

"still what?"

"i don't know..." i laughed.

"bitch, leave the car." she smiled and got out.

i laughed again and got out too.

we walked to the front of the restaurant after realizing the triplets were still in their car. as soon as matt saw us he jumped out. he grabbed something before closing the door and then started walking over to us.

i blushed and covered my face with my hands as soon as i saw what he was holding.

"what? do you not like them?" he asked, once he was closer to me.

i put my hands down and looked at them.

they were beautiful.

"no, i love them!" i smiled and hugged him.

he hugged me back and handed me the flowers when we pulled back.

he then made his way to get the door for me and aaliyah which made her laugh.

we got sat down at the out table and ordered our food soon after.

that's when i realized something.

everything about this was completely right. it felt perfect. unlike everything else in my life.

getting sober felt like the right thing.

being with matt felt like the right thing.

after a totally fun dinner we walked back out to the car. i grabbed matt's hand and pulled him towards the other side of aaliyah's car.

"ok, i really need to talk to you." i said and looked into his eyes.

"can i go first?" he looked nervous.

"no! i'm sorry but i need to just say it right now... matt, i really like you. like an unreal amount. like i dont think i've ever liked anyone this much! you are such a good guy and i just am so glad i met you." i smiled.

"oh thank god." he breathed and laughed.

"what?"

"i thought you were gonna tell me you weren't feeling me it something."

i frowned. "matt, i've always felt you." i winked.

"good. now it's my time. hazel, can i take you out. on a date? just the two of us?"

i smiled so hard my cheeks hurt.

"yes!" i laughed.

"is tomorrow night ok?"

"it's perfect."

i hugged him linger than we usually did. i didn't even want to let go.

this kid made me so happy.
