"Hot shower. Now."

Kody sighed at Seth's demanding tone. She was shivering, her teeth chattering and goose bumps all up her arms. Her clothes and shoes were saturated, keeping in the cold more than the warmth.

He was always like this. Care free one moment, serious the next. She loved his care free side, the serious one, not so much anymore.

Seth herded her towards the bathroom and went to grab her some warm clothes, grey trackies and an Aztec sweater would have to do. They'd probably be too big for her but better than nothing.

He grabbed her some towels, opened the bathroom door slightly, hearing her sweet voice sing Dancing with a Wolf by All Time Low.

God, she was adorable. When she wasn't doing something crazy. Well, she was still adorable then. Just infuriating as well.

He put the towels and clothes on the bathroom bench, before closing the door and going off to get changed.

Once in his room, Seth towelled himself down and shook out his dark hair before changing into black trackies, not bothering with a top. Walking into the kitchen to make some hot chocolates and set them on the bench.

Nekoda stepped out of the shower, seeing the clothes and towels Seth had set out on the bench, she leisurely got dressed and patted her hair dry.

Before she would've freaked out about the possibility of him seeing her naked, now she didn't care, she didn't have it in her to. He wouldn't have looked at her though, he was too polite and the shower would've fogged up anyway.

She ambled to the lounge room where he was standing in front of the heater, drying his hair. She stood there for a moment, eyeing his tan back muscles and how they rippled every time he'd move.

He turned around and sighed at her before walking out to the kitchen and bringing back hot chocolates for them both. He handed her one, his mismatched eyes looking at her, one brown, the other blue. His tongue flicking to fiddle with his lip ring, a sure sign he was thinking.

At least she'd calmed down now, she was easier to look after if she wasn't pulling some stupid stunt.

"Kody-"

"I know what you're going to say, Seth. You're going to tell me that I need to stop, that I could've gotten myself injured or something. So save yourself the energy, I thought you would've figured out by now that I'm not listening."

She sipped at her hot chocolate. Looking up to him with her blue eyes, a slight smile showing off a hint of dimples. He just sighed and walked over to the TV, putting on Supernatural, before walking away and returning with blankets.

"C'mon, Kody, it's getting late." He opened up the couch into a bed of sorts and lay down the blankets before getting under them, reaching his arm out invitingly.

"10 isn't late." She grumbled, walking over to the couch, where she laid down with him and he held her under the blanket.

They usually wouldn't have been this close, but there was no lines now. Not anymore. He'd recently moved out and gotten a small apartment, just after graduating, and she was here most nights. After Dek had died, she said she needed to be out of her house, so she came to his.

Being this close to her felt right, safe, as it may be. But usually it was she slept in his bed while he lay on the couch alone.

This was okay, wasn't it?

Nothing was okay. But for now, this would have to do.

They lay together, watching TV, until she fell asleep, her soft snores echoing in his ears.

She was a different person when she was asleep, the lines of worry faded off her face and she looked almost peaceful. Calm. It was a nice change.
