Karan finished his official work. He had got busy in preparing the report and handling a couple of other internal matters. It was almost 4.30pm when he came out of his cabin and decided to go home. He then realised the time and wondered if Monami was resting in the academy staff quarters. He tried calling Monami, but she didn't receive any of his calls. He met Koel on the way.

Karan - Hi Koel, tumne Monami ko dekha kya? Any idea kaha gayi hai?
Koel - Hi sir, woh toh kabki ghar chali gayi. I mean Shergill house. She had few theory classes, woh conduct karne ke baad lunch bhi nahi kiya yaha. Usne bola Baby ki yaad aa rahi hai, toh Faizi se half day leave leke chali gayi

Karan - Arre! Mujhe batake bhi nahi gayi. Itna gussa!
Koel - Sir, don't mind..but kuch fight hui hai kya aapki? She seemed very irritated and muh phula ke baithi thi.
Karan(to himself) - Beta Karan, ab toh tu gaya!

Koel chuckled, wished him luck and left. Karan quickly got into his jeep and drove to Shergill house. On the way, he had picked up some chocolates, white lilies and a small teddy bear - all essentials required to manofy his Raani Saheba.

He kept looking around and called Monami, but she was nowhere to be seen. He went to their bedroom and found it empty. He kept the flowers and other things on the side-table and came out in the living room.

Barkha (coming from the kitchen) - Arre Karan, aate hi Monami Monami kyu chilla raha hai. Jab dekho usay pareshan karta rehta hai.
Karan - Bhabhi, Monami kaha hai?
Barkha - Arre, ghar par nahi hai. Main toh NGO ke kaam se gayi huyi thi aur baby apni friend ke ghar. Abhi thodi der pehle hi aaye hum dono. Gauri hi thi ghar par. Usne bataya ki Monami aadhe ghante pehle kahi gayi hai.

Dinner karke ghar aaungi, aap log mera wait mat karna. Aur aapke paas jo Khadoos khada hai na, usay bol dijiye ki main usse bilkul baat nahi kar rahi, toh baar baar call karke mujhe tang na kare!

Barkha chuckled at the last sentence, while Karan made a face! They settled down on the sofa while Barkha poured water for her devar.

Barkha - Kya kiya hai tune? Haa? Kyu gussa hai woh?
Karan - Bhabhi, aaj thoda gussa kar diya tha maine academy mein. I think thoda zyada hi bol diya.

Barkha - Shayad isiliye uska mood kharab tha. Pata hai, Gauri bata rahi thi dopahar mein jab Monami ghar aayi, aate hi chillayi ki kadhi kiske liye ban rahi hai. Bechari Gauri toh abhi kadhi ka tadka hi laga rahi thi. Monami ko dur se smell bhi aa gayi tadke ki... Usne apne liye daal banane bola aur phir daal chawal khaaye. Kadhi ki toh smell se bhi irritate ho rahi thi. Mere baare mein bhi baar baar puch rahi thi.

Karan(with a frown) - Yaha bhi khaane ko lekar moody! Bhabhi, samajh hi nahi aa raha aisa weird kyu behave kar rahi hai! Mission mein bhi ajeeb harkate kar rahi thi, aur khaane ke maamle mein toh bahut moody ho rahi thi. Isiliye maine as a senior, thoda daant diya. Aur ab gussa hoke baithi hai.

Barkha - Theek se bata Karan. Shuru se bata kya hua?
