Chapter 13: Betrayed

#Killer's POV#

I woke up to the sounds of people fighting. Obviously I decided to investigate. It took little effort to find the source of all this commotion.

It was Cross and Dream. But something was wrong. The couple barely ever fought, so it was a surprising sight. What might be the reason? 

I walked up to them. "And what may be the problem here?" I asked. Both of the froze at the sound of my voice. "Hey Killer.... we were just..talking.." started Dream. He shot Cross a look Killer had never seen before. It was almost as if he was....warning Cross about something. Their hiding something... Those two couldn't tell a lie to save their own skeletons. 

"Okay, what's going on here?" I asked in my most serious voice. Cross averted his eyes and Dream started to rub his skull. "It's really nothing. Trust us-" began Cross but i cut him off. "Do you guys realize how suspicious you sound right now? Even a cat could tell a better lie that you two." I finished and Dream made a look that indicated that he was very offened. Cross let out a dramatic gasp and clutched his chest."How could you Kills!" 

But I wasn't listening. I just spotted Cross holding what seemed to be a book behind his back. I made to grab it but Cross was faster. He jumped back just a I reached it. He lost his balance and Dream had to catch him to prevent him from making out with the floor. 

" Killer please." Dream requested as I walked closer. "Why not?" I asked in the most innocent voice. "It's for your own good." Dream continued on. "I want to see that." I commanded. These mood swings had made me really dangerous.

Maybe Cross understood that beacuse he intervined before things could get out of hand. "We should let him see it." he said with his head down. "NO CROSS HE DOSEN'T NEED TO!" yelled Dream. I have to admit it took me and Cross by surprise. Hell, even Dream himself looked surprised. He immediatly looked over to Cross and started stammering "Babe- I- I- I didn't mean to! I'm so sorry." 

But Cross being the guy he was took none of it. He held up his hand and Dream immediatly fell quiet. "We will talk about this Dream." Oh shit. Dream had really fucked up. Oh well, it isn't really my problem. I thought. This pegnancy really had messed me up.

But the situation at hand was more important right now. Cross handed me what he was holding and turns out it was a newspaper not a book. "The third page." Cross indicated. 

I opened it the designated page. My breath hitched. It felt as though the whole world had come crashing down on me. "Nightmare.......?" I didn't understand this. How could he? After everything? Tears welled up in my eyes. "I...can't belive this." I breathed out. "We're  sorry Kills." Cross apoligised. In front of my eyes was a small side article captioned:

       THE RISING MODEL FINDS LOVE

New rising model, Nightmare Joku, has found love. In a shocking turn of events, Model Nightmare is now going out with the star acterss Lux Evans. 

This odd coupling has got many fans to wonder if it was really love or just a hoax created by Mr. Nightmare's agency to bring attention to the star. But Nightmare himself confirms it by saying quote on qoute: 

"No, this is not a hoax; My heart now belongs to Lux. Now and forever." 

This revelation will take time to settle in, but fans are looking forward to their relationship.

I sucked in a breath. NoNoNoNoPleaseno....NO. My vision started to fade as I felt myself falling backwards.

Yet again fate played its cards and destroyed another string of love....

One lover resented the other and the other desprately hoped that his love hadn't seed that.........

Sad chapter right? Dw things are going to get better...maybe or maybe not.
