I flash my eyes open, my alarm clock blasting in my ear.
"Alarm clocks," I mutter, "because every morning should start with a heart attack."
I roll out of bed, hitting the 'off' button and sliding on my pink slippers. I trudge to the bathroom, my green eyes halfway closed and my light brown hair sitting on my head in a tangled mess.
I slowly get ready, pulling on a gray pocket tee and boyfriend jeans with my favorite pair of Converse. I braid my hair into a messy fishtail braid and I apply a small amount of mascara and light pink lipstick.
I rush downstairs and see my eight year old sister and brother, Avery and Sawyer. They're twins, but they couldn't be more different.
"That's my cereal!" Avery shouted.
"How is that your cereal? Yours is right in front of your face!" Sawyer shouted back.
"You're such a poo head! You're eating mine!"
"MOM!"
My mother and I roll our eyes at the same time.
"Twins! It's too early for this nonsense!" My mother scolded.
I sat down and spread Nutella on my toast. I nearly inhaled my breakfast, before walking out the door.
"Bye, Mom! Thanks for breakfast!"
"No problem, honey. Have a good day at school!"
Ugh. School.
It's not that I hate the school itself, I just hate most people in it - except for my best friends, Bella, Charlotte, and Finn. They are such amazing people, and I'm so blessed to have them in my life.
I walk to school, waving hello to the neighbors. When I finally arrive to Brown High School, I see my group of friends.
"Hey y'all!" I yell.
"Oh my gosh! It's the fabulous Quinn!" Finn shouts back.
Finn was insanely hot, with his bright blue eyes and perfectly-trimmed hair. However, he was extremely gay, and he was not afraid to show it.
"The fabulous Quinn is as fabulous as ever, and how is the fantastic Finn?"
"Um, what do you think? I'm as fantastic as ever."
We all laughed and I gave them all hugs.
"So, how was everyone's weekend?" I asked.
Charlotte piped up.
"I saw this really hot kid at the mall and that was pretty much the highlight of my year. What about you?"
"I went to Taco Bell three times," I responded.
"Wow, that's impressive."
"Thanks, I try," I said sarcastically.
We all went into the beige building and I trudged to first period, US Government and Politics. Thank God I had it with Bella, because she is my best friend, and that class makes me want to kill myself.

Hey y'all! This is the first book I've ever written, so feel free to comment and leave suggestions on how I can improve.
The first two or three chapters are going to be a bit boring, because I don't want the story to feel rushed and I want to really introduce the characters and such.
Also, a HUGE thank you to @fiftyshadesofbhuiyan for making the amazing book cover. I love it!
Thank y'all for everything! :)
