Hey guys, this is later than I said it'd be. Editing was a nightmare. As I wrote this note, the entire chapter bolded itself for... some reason. The damn thing kept dragging me to the bottom of the chapter so I couldn't edit properly. Some paragraphs are center aligned no matter how many times I left align them. Some paragraphs are double or triple spaced. I don't know why. This was hell, enjoy.

For a second.

A singular second.

The world was still.

You stole a lone breath from the wind, courtesy of your burning lungs. Eyes slit open, locking onto the endless and unmoving sky above. There was an inconspicuous ache in your bones, a gentle pair of hands keeping you on the ground. A frown stole the smile's place on your lips.

You knew this dream. It was always the same.

You fought those smothering arms and rose to your bloody feet. Somewhere in this delicate glade, it was waiting for you. Your feet moved on their own, illuminating your path like a wall of torches. Your brain didn't respond, so disconnected from your body. You were a spectator to your own inevitability.

Your body carried you to the same ruins you always found. Your soles slapped against the stone floor until you came upon it. Light, small and so dim it'd be mistaken for a ball of fuzz. Wrapped around its nonexistent body were chains that reached to the ceiling. You knew what it wanted you to do. You knew how to wake up.

Your fingers reached for the soft glow of the light, and as they heated from the proximity, your surroundings changed.

You stole a lone breath from the wind, courtesy of your burning lungs. Eyes slit open, locking onto the endless and unmoving sky above. There was an inconspicuous ache in your bones, a gentle pair of hands keeping you on the ground. A frown stole the smile's place on your lips.

You pushed yourself upwards with speed that made you ache. Your eyes darted around. Nothing had changed. You were back in the glade.

You blinked once, then twice. Then, you rose to your still bloody feet and returned to the ruins. Nothing had changed. You touched the light again.
