Chapter 2: The Matchmaking

Year 3045

King Jungkook, Taehyung, Jimin, Hoseok, Yoongi, Namjoon and Jin have been best friends since birth, like their ancestors. They are called The Isengard, which means iron closure. They are given this title because they are so powerful that no one can ever break their defense. 

Their parents died decades ago. It is said that they went to the forest to meet a sorcerer that can break the curse, but they never returned. Now King Taehyung, Jimin, Hoseok, Yoongi, Namjoon and Jin have passed the age of 20, except for King Jungkook, but none of them are married yet. This means if King Jungkook passed 20, they won't have a heir and their people won't be protected. 

That is why, their kingdoms' advisors contacted all the neighboring kingdoms to match their daughter with one of the kings. Sadly, only one kingdom has a daughter, which is Bridgeton Kingdom. The advisors told Isengard about their plan, but Isengard seemed not pleased with that idea. 

"You did what?!" yelled King Taehyung, shocked with their plan. 

"Hyung, watch your mouth." warned Jungkook. 

"No kook, he's right, this doesn't make any sense. How can he match us with someone we don't even know?" shouted Jimin, pointing at their advisors. 

"Jimin, he's right, if we don't get married and have an heir, who will protect our people?" asked Namjoon, defending their advisors. 

"I will marry her." Jungkook suddenly said. 

"What do you mean Kook?" Jin asked, confused by Jungkook's sudden statement. 

"You only found 1 princess right? Which means only one of us will marry her. I don't care who she is, I will marry her." Jungkook said, without even thinking. 

"Kook! You don't even know her, how are you gonna marry her!" Yoongi said angrily. 

Jungkook didn't say anything and directly left the room, heading to his room. 

"Let's give him time guys, it's a hard but must decision for him to marry someone he has never met." said Hoseok looking at the leaving Jungkook. 

The daytime has passed, now it's night time, Jungkook is just staring at the stars blinking in the beautiful night sky. 

"I wish you're here mom. That way I can ask your advice about what I should do. I don't want to marry someone I don't know, but I have no other choice. How will our people live without us, mom? To be honest, I'm scared. I don't want to die, but I don't know how to break the curse. Do I really have to marry a girl who's not her? That means I have to break the promise I made to her. She is my first and last love, but I can't find her until now. What should I do mom, please help me." Jungkook said, as his eyes were on the verge of tears. 

Suddenly, someone knocked on the door of his room. 

"Come in." Jungkook said, as he closed his eyes to stop his tears from dropping. 

"Kook, I heard Namjoon hyung and Jin hyung saw a group of burglars attacking the villagers." Taehyung said, after opening the door. 

"Ok, let's do our work." Jungkook said, taking his sword. 

Yes, they were kings in daytime, but they changed to swordsmans in night time to protect their people without anyone knowing. 

Jungkook and Taehyung ride their horses to the place of the crime. When Jungkook and Taehyung arrived, Namjoon, Jin, Yoongi were shooting with their guns, while Hoseok and Jimin were fighting with their swords. Jungkook and Taehyung helped them by fighting some other burglars. 

In a few minutes, they were able to defeat all 100 of the burglars, but they didn't make any sound, so their people wouldn't know they were there.

“Well, I guess we did very well defeating them.” Jimin said proudly, as he cleaned his sword with his handkerchief.

“Let’s head to the castle before anyone notices us.” Namjoon said, sitting on his horse.

But suddenly, Jungkook saw three people with masks on their horses going somewhere.

“Wait, who and where are they going?”
