A low fog settled over Phoenix high, cars packed the makeshift car park once used as a playground. The school was like a derelict prison, bars and cracks decorated the windows and vines snaked over the brick walls painting an image of an apocalyptic landscape.
"This is it"
A tall well dressed man, with dark shaggy hair and a tight suit that clung to his body as if it never wanted too let go, stepped out of a clean well kept brand new car, among a group sea of cars almost falling apart, it looked so out of place. his suit didnt leave much to the imagination and the silence was broken by his shoes making a tap noise all the way to the reception where a lanyard, fob and set of dirty keys were waiting for him.
On the lanyard a picture of the man was printed, he had bright blue eyes a slander face and slight hints of blonde to his hair, a smirk was plastered across his face. a name was printed on the bottom: Mr Lloyd
Mr Lloyd: "Thank you so much, where abouts do i need to go?"
Receptionist: "down the corridor too the right youre in eng 4 its the second class on the right"
Mr Lloyd nodded and started walking towards his new class his hand shook slightly as he tried too unlock the classroom door. with a slip of the hand the keys tumbled too the floor and a women picked them up a kind smile shot across her face, she was a smaller woman in a small shirt and black skirt with high heels on, she piped up holding out the keys
"You must be Alfred, the new English teacher, I'm leanne"
She held out her hand and alfred went too shake her hand
Leanne : "oh im so sorry i was giving you your keys"
Alfred looked flustered and took his keys feeling like a clumsy fool, he grappled for words and mumbledAlfred: so... uhm... is there anything you could tell me about my class?
Leanne: "oh... yeah... well there's one student shes called [YN] shes a bit of a handful with other staff but hopefully shell warm up to you quickly"
Alfred looked shocked and finally unlocked the door stepping in.
Alfred: "one more thing, everyone just calls me Al"
Leanne: "well its nice to meet you Al"
She chucked and walked off leaving Al to his new classroom a visage of joy beamed across his face as he looked around seeing an empty classroom and although there was paper strewn around the floor he knew that with 2 days to sort it this blank canvas could become a well decorated landscape fit for learning, he stood in fromt of the class and said to himself.
Al: "This is where the fun begins"
