POV: Mitsuko Clarence— Lady of the Clarence Dukedom(Hidden)
Annnnd Done! The circle is complete and now, according to the book, I just have to drop my blood in the center and chant this. It's just about midnight too. I thought as I stood up and grabbed the book the move the the center of the summoning circle.
I plopped down the book and took out my bejeweled dagger. It was my 10th birthday gift and the last birthday gift from my parents. Now, I'm 13, the dagger is still in good condition because I've treasured it for the past 3 years. Today, would be the first time the dagger will be used. I held it over the palm of my hand and closed my eyes.
Am I really about to do this?? I mean, it'll be great if it worked, but if it doesn't, then I just caused myself pain for no reason. Sarah and Lawrence would be worried about me again... I opened my eyes and took another look at the circle I just spent 4 hours drawing.
Screw it, I already drew this circle and spent wayyy too much time on it, why not carry this operation to the end. After all, the book does seem legit. I thought as I brought the dagger down. Intense pain shot through my hand and I bit my tongue in order to not shout out. I watched as the blood poured out from my palm and dripped onto the floor, right in the center of the summoning circle. Then I began chanting the words on the book.
"Oh great dark lord, Hear what I have to say! I offer to you my blood and soul in exchange for a wish!"
After I finished the chant, I held my breath and waited. Nothing seemed to happen and I was just about to give up when suddenly, black smoke appeared from the circle. A dark creature began to form on top of the circle. I watched in awe and it began to take shape, taking the form of a giant black blob with eyes all over its body.
"Are you the one who summoned me?" The dark shadow asked in a husky voice that echoed off the walls of the basement.
"Y-yes! It is I, Mitsuko Clarence, whose wish you shall grant and whose blood and soul you shall eventually take!" I said in a steady-ish voice.
"Ahh, then, what might your wish be, human?" It asked again.
"Um, well, I'm not sure if you are capable of this but— I want you to love me."
