Arriving home Typhoon bolted into her room, locked the door and pulled the Walkman from her bag, plugged in her headphones before gasping as Moonclaws' voice began to play. His voice had a broken and saddened tone to it which worried Typhoon more than she would know.
"There are Thirteen reasons why I have died you may be one of them. You know when you have a sibling, but your mother will beat you half to death if you tell them of your link. Yeah, I know that situation all too well. Welcome to your tape Sunny Brightsting. We were seven when I discovered the truth about my father and his identity. My parents made it clear that I was not wanted before we moved. They had to drag me kicking and screaming before giving up on it because I refused to leave my sister... to leave YOU behind. That was when they realized I knew the truth about my father not being Morrowseer. Before then the concept of fear seemed such a little thing till they chained me to the basement wall covered in spiders with the threat of it being bears next time. Seeing you everyday at school after that leaving with your parents smiling and laughing cause life was great. The betrayal I felt because HE was also MY father and I couldn't help but wish that my parents did more than pull up drag me into the car and leave without socializing. Then one day your dad waved when he noticed me staring causing the memory of the day I found out he was my dad came sparkling back, but I knew if I approached him with that information my parents would leave me for dead. Then Quibli came along now I had a little brother that I couldn't speak too of brotherly things couldn't teach as brothers should," Here Moonclaws sniffed and burst into tears "A few months later Moonwatcher came to our family and I was nearly equal for I had a sister who loved me as her brother though we shared no blood. Starting year 3 I remember showing Moon around before Quibli came over grabbed her by the hand and brought her with you. Then Greatness accidentally exposed my stepfather and the fact that he had cancer which lead to us all being booted from the house and left at an orphanage."
A knocking broke through the recording and realizing it wasn't on Moonclaws' audio Typhoon quickly hit pause and jumped up. Opening her door Typhoon spotted her older sister's Orca and Tsunami there both attempting to look happy to be in each others presence for there still grieving sister. "Ok firstly I know you're still grieving but gurl you are spending WAY too much time on your own!" Tsunami smirked at her sister before dropping the smile and pulling Typhhon into an embrace. It was Orca's turn to smirk then " we're having a movie night tonight Anemone and Turtle picked out one Moonclaws left you it's called ' My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising' and Auklet has gone to bed early as she doesn't want to watch anime," As Typhoon nodded a frown appeared on her older sister's face "You know we're here for you right Ty? Look if you need some time alone just tell us alright you guys were practically dating with how close you were." Tsunami left at this statement and before Orca could leave Typhoon spoke up "I'm just gonna spend some time alone that was the last movie we watched together before It happened." As Orca left nodding Typhoon closed and re-locked her door before putting her headphones back on. Pressing the 'play' button Moonclaws' broken voice began to echo through Typhoon's head one more and a single tear made it's escape down her face.
"That happy, functional family you had was the one thing I wanted in life as a young boy. Then Glory's Grandmother Grandeur adopted me. Then the Happy if not Chaotic family I wanted was finally mine and it had only taken a week away from hell to discover it. Then one month in things took a turn for the worse when Battlewinner and a newly cancer survived Morrowseer turned up at the front door demanding I be returned to them. It seemed life would return to the way it had been before. When I finally realized my family would never make me happy I started making these recordings incase it ever got too much. Thinking back on it now being openly angry at you would have been like shooting a Mockingbird, but worse." As the recording blinked off and died Typhoon sighed before noticing a silvery package sitting on her desk. Standing up and reading the label Oceana gasped "Happy Birthday Typhoon my one true love and the sweetest being of my world more love than you know Moonclaws" carefully unwrapping the week-early gift Typhoon removed a picture of herself and Moonclaws embracing on a bench both smiling widely. Then paying closer attention to the wrapper Typhoon noticed a strange lump underneath it. Lifting the wrapper gently and putting it off to the side Typhoon's eyes beheld a tape. quickly picking it up Typhoon popped it into the Walkman and pressed 'play'
"There are thirteen reasons I have died. You may be one of them. Don't you love when you're sibling thinks that they're SO much better than you because they are the only child who is actually the biological child of both your parents. Welcome to your tape Greatness Darkly."

(Authors note: before you progress to the next chapter you will notice that Typhoon is replaced by Oceana this is because Oceana was the og main character but the owner of her OC and i broke up so i'm editing it out because i figure she doesn't want anything to do with me. also Typhoon is trans-female because i felt i needed a little more LGBTQIA+ representation in my stories.)
