A soft groan escaped from Denki's lips as he slowly opened his eyes. Denki sat upright and slowly took in his surroundings.
There was a desk on the other side of the room; books were stacked neatly in the middle of it. There was also a chair and closet.
Denki immediately knew that he was in a dorm room but it was too organized to be his room. "Where the hell am I?"
A soft creak from the door made Denki jump and turned towards it, but he didn't expect to see Bakugo walking through the door.
"Oh, you're awake." Bakugo spoke up, walking over to the electric boy and sitting down next to him on the bed.
Denki felt like the world has stopped. Why was he in Bakugo's dorm room? How did he even get there? What the hell had happened?
A million questions ran through Denki's head but he slowly remembered everything that happened. The blood, him falling on the floor, him passing out.
Denki groaned and looked down. He hadn't noticed that his arms were freshly bandaged. Wait....bandaged?! No, no, no, no. Did Bakugo bandaged my arms? He must've seen my cuts. This is really bad.
"Dunce Face, are you okay?" Bakugo asked; his eyes narrowed on the shorter male in front of him.
Denki stared at Bakugo for a few seconds before turning his gaze to the floor. "I'm fine."
"That's not what I meant." Denki looked up at Bakugo with a questioning expression; Bakugo's gaze still lingering on him.
"Then what do you mean?" Denki asked, playing with his fingers.
"You know what I mean." Bakugo was slowly becoming annoyed with Denki but he tried his best to hide it.
"I don't know what you mea-". But before Denki could finish his sentence, Bakugo had grabbed him by his collar and raised his hand; ready to send an explosion to Denki's face.
Denki saw this and quickly turned his head and closed his eyes tightly. "Please don't hit me."
Bakugo's eyes widened as he stared at Denki in shock. Hit? He let go of Denki's collar and looked at him closely. He was smaller and looked really pale, as if he hasn't been eating for weeks.
Noticing that the hit didn't come, Denki opened his eyes and stared at Bakugo. Wasn't he going to hit me?
The two males sat in an awkward silence before Bakugo spoke up; breaking the weird silence.
"What happened to you, Dunce Face?" Bakugo's voice was filled with concern and not his usual angry tone.
Denki stared at the ground while playing with his fingers. He always kept his feelings bottled up inside and didn't bother to open up; but he didn't have a choice this time.
"It's my dad." Denki looked up at Bakugo. "He's an alcoholic with an abusive and homophobic problem."
"When I came out to him as bisexual, he slapped me and called me a disgrace. Saying that he would never accept a faggot like me as his son." Tears rolled down Denki's cheeks as he continued to speak.
"H-he took off h-his belt and hit me with it. If I do anything wrong or by accident, he always hits me."
By the time Denki had finished, he was a sobbing mess. It hurt him so much that he couldn't even look up at Bakugo.
In a swift motion, Bakugo's body reacted on its own; engulfing Denki into a hug. "B-Bakugo?" Denki spoke up.
"You need it." Denki hugged Bakugo tightly and cried into his shoulder. "Let it all out." Bakugo soothed the electric blonde and rubbed his back.
After a few minutes, Denki let go of Bakugo and wiped his tears away. "Thank you, Bakugo." "Katsuki." Bakugo shoved his hands into his pockets. "Call me Katsuki."
"Okay, Katsuki." Denki gave a little smile. Katsuki looked at Denki and vowed to protect and keep him safe.
