Cuddles

Hey guys, so I'm a really bad writer and this is my first fanfic so please don't judge!

It was a chilly Saturday night, and Annabeth was on the couch reading her new book, (Insert Favorite Book Here). "Annabeth," Percy called from the living room of the apartment they were staying in for their quest. Annabeth ignored him easily. A few moments later, she heard Percy whine her name again. Annabeth tried to ignore him, but Percy wouldn't shut up and it seemed as he was pretty determined to get what he wanted. Annabeth was also pretty determined to finish her book. As each second passed, she found it very difficult to ignore and concentrate on her book. Finally giving up, Annabeth got up with her book in one hand, and walked up to Percy.

"Annabeth!" Percy said again, not noticing her walking into the living room.

"What do you want?!" snapped Annabeth, clearly frustrated that she couldn't finish her book.

"Cuddle with me?" said Percy as he held up his arms with adorable puppy dog eyes that his girlfriend couldn't resist. Annabeth gave an exasperated sigh and bonked Percy's head gently with her book. "Really Seaweed Brain?! I'm trying to finish my book!!"

Percy patted his lap. "So? You can read here." he begged, giving Annabeth the puppy dog eyes again.

Annabeth hesitated. The offer really did sound tempting and how could she (how could anyone?) say no to those puppy dog eyes?

"Fine..." said Annabeth as she walked out the room. Percy, confused and disappointed, just sat there. When Annabeth came back in, dragging a blanket along, Percy's face lit up. Annabeth sat down, wrapping the blanket around them both. She placed her head on Percy's chest and leaned into him while he placed his arms around her waist and pulling her closer to him. Annabeth lifted up her book and continued to read.

As Annabeth started reading again, Percy, feeling rejected, started placing kisses on her forehead and down her neck.

Complaining, Annabeth whined, "Percyyyy! I'm trying to reeaad!"

"Why? Am I bothering you?" said a smirking Percy in a flirtatious tone. "Yes! Now let me read!" demanded Annabeth, hand reaching towards her pocket where she keeps her bone dagger.

Percy, now a little scared, obeyed her command. He really tried too, but being the ADHD guy that he is, he couldn't stand the silence.

"Annabeth..." whispered Percy. "It's too quiet."

"Well, what do you want me to do about it?!" Annabeth snapped.

"Talk to me."

"This is the exact reason why I didn't want to do this!"

"Fine, then read to me..." begged Percy.

"You'll find it boring." warned Annabeth.

"I don't care, it's too quiet." he said. Annabeth just sighed. "OK, if you insist."

It took a few more minutes to finish the book. When Annabeth was finished, she noticed Percy has fallen asleep.

"You drool when you sleep." said Annabeth while poking his cheek. "I love you, Seaweed Brain."

Annabeth started to get up; however, she was pulled back into Percy's chest.

I love you, too.
