"You shouldn't have told his majesty about me, Miss Kiara. I don't know how I'm going to face him now..." Micah whispered in fear. I rolled my eyes at him.

"Are you even serious?! It was you who couldn't even keep a secret! Plus aren't you a Big Bad Wolf, you should never be afraid of anyone!"

He looked at me in disbelief.
"I'm not a bad wolf Miss Kiara. And we are talking about the ultimate King here, how can I not be afraid!!"
My ears ached as he half screamed- half whispered into them. Covering both of my ears with my hands, I turned back and glared at him.

"Micah! You are not a child, can you just stop hiding behind my back! Alan is not going to eat you up!"

"Ofcourse, I'm not interested in devouring one of my own kind." I heard Alan's deep voice, as he elegantly stepped towards us.

Hearing Alan's voice, Micah started whimpering and tried his best to hide behind my back. Not having any other choice, I stood between both of them, Alan standing imposingly at my front and Micah cowering behind me.

"Alan, you need to calm down okay! Micah is quite scared right now." I tried to reason with him.

"What? I didn't say I was angry, did I?" And with a nonchalant wave, he got in the driver's seat of the car. I felt Micah heaving a sigh behind me. I turned towards him,

"See he's not angry. Let's go now!" I tried to console Micah and opened the back seat door of the car.

"Micah won't be coming with us." Alan commanded. Both Micah and I looked at him in confusion.

"What do you mean Alan?" I asked.

"Well, you heard me. He's not coming with us. If he wants to join us, then he knows the way."

Alan's words left me speechless. Micah was looking at me helplessly.

How can he do this to him? But I guess I'm the one at fault here. I shouldn't have mentioned his name.

"Get on Kiara." Alan said.
I joined my hands and mouthed a small sorry to Micah before getting on the front seat of the car. I put on the seatbelt as Alan stepped on the gas. Looking back, I saw Micah reverting back to his wolf form.

"He'll get there right?" I asked.

"You don't need to worry about him Kiara. He is a werewolf. He can find his own way." Alan replied. I slumped on my seat as we drove onto the sunset.

During the whole way, I tried asking Alan various questions regarding his investigation, his answers being short and on point every time. As a result, I decided to keep quiet for the rest of the time, glancing occasionally at his side profile.

Such a dumb ass! Can't he see I'm trying to initiate a talk here?!

Not having anything else to do, I slid down the glass pane of the window and proceeded to look out of the car, with the wind blowing through my brown locks. I closed my eyes, relishing in the feeling.
Little did I know, Alan was looking and smiling at my actions all this time.

The car came to a halt near a huge field filled with beautiful tulips glowing in the last rays of the sun. Alan took off his seatbelt, I looked at him in confusion.

"What?"

"I thought we were going for investigation."

"Yes, we are."

"Investigation? In the middle of a flower field?!"

Ignoring my question, he opened the car door and got out. He stretched his body, his shirt buttons barely holding on for dear life. I could see the outline of his abs through his shirt. Realization hit me when my face started heating up. I took a look at my reflection in the rearview mirror and saw nothing except for a face as red as a tomato. I cupped my cheeks with both of my hands.
