The sound of shattering glass filled the room, a lady squatted down to pick the broken pieces of the glass. The sharp mouth of the glass pierced through her finger as blood immediately oozed out of the finger.
"Just look at what you did Annabel, you broke my favourite vase. You are just good for nothing like your useless mother"A lady who appears to be her aunt reprimanded from behind.
"Please don't talk about my mother like that"Annabel pleaded heavenly at the verge of crying.
"Oh shut up,she is the reason for my brother's death!"Her Aunt barks at her as Annabel gazes down.
"If only he didn't marry that whore of a woman that gave birth to a worthless disgusting person like you he would have still been alive"Her Aunt added remarking rudely.
"My mother is not a whore"Annabel finally voices out, unable to hear any bad things about her mother.
"How dare you talk back at me Annabel!"she grabbed her by the wrist tightly, she pulled her up and landed her a tight slap.
Annabel couldn't control the tears Streaming out from her eye holes. She looked up at her Aunt with her teary eyes and squeezed her fists tightly fuming with rage.
"Don't you ever call my mom a whore with your filthy mouth"She warns her while pointing her middle finger at her leaving her aunt stunned.
"How dare you raise your voice at me you ungrateful little twat"Her aunt hisses, giving her the dead glare.
"I don't care, just don't ever talk about my mother ever again!"She screams at the top of her voice.
"Annabel!"Her Aunt screamed, slapping her hard on the cheek.
Annabel lowered her head down with her hand on cheek caressing it to ease the burning sensation she felt.
She never believed she had it in her to talk back to her Aunt, this new attitude of hers happens to be the influence of her best friend Juliet who had always encouraged her to stand up for herself.
"I need you to leave my house this minute"Her aunt orders with a commanding tone.
"Where will I go from here?"Annabel cries out,She never believed her aunt will ever ask her to leave her house.
"I don't care, leave!"Her Aunt yells disgusted by her presence.
After losing both of her parents due to a fatal accident that claimed both their life's. Annabel had no other choice than to move in with her Aunt because she was the only family she had left.
Living with her Aunt was hell, she treated her like trash and constantly taunts her and blamed her for the death of her brother.
The rain poured down violently at her as she was wandering aimlessly in the middle of the rain with uncontrollable tears dripping down from her eye holes.
She got drenched in the rain but didn't care. She could feel strange glares from people but no one dared to ask her what the problem was. She stood in the middle of the road watching as people passed by.
The rain finally stopped but she was drenched and soaked, but this was the least of her problems. It was the middle of the night and she had nowhere to go, she continued to walk aimlessly on the street.
"Pretty lady!" Two men called out simultaneously. Annabel didn't give them a response as she continued walking, they walked faster to meet up with her pace.
"Come with us so you don't get a cold," one of them sheepishly suggested.
Annabel finally stopped walking to take a glimpse at them, she looked up to see two grown men with a strong Alcohol scent. No one needed to tell her that these men were drunk.
