Chapter 1

There was an eerie silence in the atmosphere. I almost shivered from how cold it was.

However, the cold glare of the white haired inu demon in front of me was far more intense than the chilly air.

He stared me down as I looked at him, our eyes met for a while as he held his hand out for me to take.

"I will not repeat myself any longer, Y/n. You are to come with me as my betrothed. It is not negotiable." Sesshomaru ordered.

Years ago, his chilly voice and demanding tone would have had me jumping into his arms and happily agreeing to whatever it was he wished for me to do.

But he abandoned me. He left me with nowhere to go, no one to go with, he left me stranded. And did not come back for me. Years, I wandered this land in search for him, and when I had found him, he dismissed me as if I were a mere stranger, a human!

"Why should I take your disgusting hand?" I asked.

"For the good of your life. I could always slay you instead." Sesshomaru spoke as if killing someone was the easiest thing for him.

Which...essentially it was.

"You have a cold heart with no room for anyone else in it. For what purpose do you need me for as a bride?" I spat at the white haired demon.

His long hair flowed behind him as the harsh winds blew harder.

"You'd do best not to question me, woman." Sesshomaru threatened.

My glare had intensified as I uncrossed my arms and slapped Sesshomaru's hand away from me.

"To hell with you! I'd rather die than be your wife!" I exclaimed.

"Then you will die." Sesshomaru said simply and lifted his hand, the tips of his claws glowed green, and I knew that it was over for me.

But suddenly, something had came flying at Sesshomaru, a green little imp, and Sesshomaru caught the staff that was flying with the imp and looked over at the imp as it fell at his side, not before hitting his abdomen.

I wasn't about to stick around, he was distracted, so I took that chance and bolted my way out of Sesshomaru's sight.

Inu demons had spectacular noses, almost on par with wolf demons, so I made sure to rub herbs on my body before turning into my dragon form.

I flew away as fast as my wings could take me, and I could sense Sesshomaru transforming into his dog demon form, potentially to find me, but I was high in the clouds, and there was no way he had seen me...

I was fast...

At least I hoped so.

I landed in an abandoned village, I was far, far away from Sesshomaru, and hopefully it would stay that way.

That man was obsessed with me becoming his bride.

I looked around the abandoned village and figured I could sleep here until morning. I smelled a few humans here, and they seemed pretty harmless to me, so I didn't have a need to leave and look for someplace else to sleep.

I walked into one of the abandoned huts and laid down on the ground, the hut wasn't as beat up as the others, and the walls weren't as broken down, but I could still hear the sounds of the humans' cheering and laughing.

I felt someone coming near the hut I was in, and I felt that if I pretended I was asleep or dead, they would leave me alone.

"Hey! Big brother! There's a lady in here!" I heard.
