(Valerie's POV)
I had landed at the airport yesterday, and I wish I had gone to bed earlier now. I was sitting in a salon chair getting my hair and make up done for the wedding. Rebecca on the other hand looked like she was about to pass out. She had major bags under her eyes from lack of sleep and she couldn't sit still. I knew it was the nerves and the Starbucks making her like this but I was afraid she was going to have a massive heart attack right now. "Rebecca relax. You're getting married." I said patting her hand. She smiled at me but her hands began shaking. "I can't help it. I've been imagining this day for years and now that it's happening, so many emotions are running through me. It's hard keeping track of what I'm feeling." Rebecca said. I sighed and looked at myself in the mirror.
Because Niall and I are sharing the maid of honor, we had to match in a way. We both are wearing the same colors, the same flower on the right shoulder and we were to both give a speech at the reception. And since Niall HAD to have a quiff for the wedding, I was getting a slight bump in my hair to somewhat match Niall's hair do. It didn't look too bad but it was difficult sharing the maid of honor duties. We were finally done with hair and make up, now we were on our way to the venue to finished getting ready. All the other bridesmaids were bubbly and ready to go, but Rebecca and I were like the walking dead. "What time did you guys wake up?" Sarah, Thomas's sister, asked. Rebecca went into the other room to get undressed and wrap a robe around herself. She came out and sat on the couch in the room. "I woke up at four to pick up Rebecca so we could get the hair and make up done in time." I answered. I grabbed a water bottle and handed it to Rebecca.
She looked like she was about to fall asleep. "Let her take a nap. The ceremony isn't until noon and it's only ten so she has some time to sleep." I said. The girls and I walked out of the room to let Rebecca sleep. Anyone who knew get well enough, knew that if she didn't get enough sleep then she would be cranky until she got her sleep. Same went with food. I began walking around checking to see if the boys were here yet. I walked up stairs of the home we were using for the wedding and walked down a series of hallways. I finally found the room that the boys were occupying. "Hey Valerie. How's Rebecca?" Liam asked when I entered the room. All the boys were in their suits, ready to go. Thomas, on the other hand, was sleeping in a chair with his head leaning back and mouth open, slightly snoring. I giggled thinking about how Rebecca probably looked the same way. "Well she's sleeping. Just like her soon-to-be-husband." I giggled. Liam cracked a smile. Harry was in the bathroom talking to Louis. Before I could knock, I heard what they were talking about. "Mate, it's now or never. She loves you and you know that." Louis whispered. I stepped closer to hear what Harry had to say. "I love her so much and I've been waiting years for this but I don't know if she wants this too." Harry said. I could almost see him standing there with his eyebrows scrunched together and biting his lower lip. Something he always did when he was worried. "I doubt she'd say no." Louis whispered.
Before Harry could say anything else, Rebecca's father walked into the room. I quickly walked away from the door and towards Zayn, who was sitting next to Perrie. I smiled at them, but inside I was in turmoil over what Harry and Louis were talking about. "Thomas! Wake up!" Scott, Thomas's best friend and best man, said shaking him awake. Thomas stood up slightly startled. "Oh. Hi Mr Meiia." Thomas said rubbing his eyes. "I've told you not to call me that. You can call me Daniel. Especially now since you're going to be marrying my daughter in a few hours." Rebecca's father said. "By the way, where is Rebecca?" He asked. All eyes locked on me. "She's asleep in the downstairs room. I'll go wake her up in a few minutes. I actually need to talk to Niall." I said. Niall stood up and followed me out of the room. "What's up?" Niall asked. He was wearing the suit but instead of his tie being blue it was purple like my dress. "You have to come with me to wake up Rebecca and get her ready for the wedding." I said walking down the stairs. "Wait! I don't have to actually see her putting on the dress?" Niall asked, chasing after me. I laughed at his question. "No. I'm pretty sure she's going to to go into the other room to put on the dress and then we finish our duties as her maid of honor." I said.
It took a few minutes waking Rebecca up and a few more minutes trying to get her to go get dressed. I gave her one last push to the changing room where her dress hung proudly. "Can you please button me up?" Rebecca said coming out of the changing room, holding the dress up to her chest. She turned around for me to button up her dress. Once it was buttoned, Rebecca slipped on her flats and turned to face the mirror.
Her dark black hair was in tight ringlets down her back with a few curls pinned up out of her face. The veil rested right behind the purple and blue flower on her head. She didn't wear a lot of make up but the little she did made her eyelashes look longer and her cheeks even more pink. "That's going to be you in a year or two." Eleanor said to me poking my shoulder. I turned to her a little surprised. "What do you mean?" I asked. She smiled and rolled her eyes. "You know what I mean. It's obvious that you and Harry are going to eventually get married. I mean the way you two look at each other is simply adorable.l" Eleanor said. She left me standing there, completely taken aback.
It's not like I haven't thought about what my life would be like if I married Harry but I wasn't sure if I was ready for that or not. But looking at Rebecca being so happy and Thomas being accepted by her parents and seeing that she was going to spend the rest of her life with the one she loves the most, I think I am ready to marry Harry.
