"Who's There?"

It was a very long day. I just came home from a long period of classes and now the only thing that I have in my mind is to sleep. I went straight to my room and changed into my pajama without having dinner, didn't have the energy nor appetite. And just like that, without any care of the world, I went to sleep.

I have been living alone since I started university and I'm pretty used to living alone now. Nothing bad or concerning stuff has happened to me since I have started to live on my own. I pay my rent, make my meals and do whatever I want to as there's no one to judge me. My parents always nag me to come back and stay with them but I decline. Even though I love them so much and living alone is very hard, I still want to live on my own. Who knew, later I'll definitely regret it.

Suddenly I heard a knock on the door. I looked at the clock on my bedside table, squinting my eyes to look properly, it was 2:36, who can it be at this hour. I'm not expecting any guests and honestly it's pretty late even for a guest to arrive. I closed my eyes, completely ignoring it. The only thing I could care about is my sleep.

Another knock, this time much Louder than before.

"Who the hell is it!?" - I yelled, slightly getting pissed. It's been a long time since I had a nice sleep. And someone's trying to ruin it. I sat up straight, waiting for another knock.

*BANG BANGGG*

Woah woah...now that's a bit too loud. It almost sounds like someone is trying to break in. The sound of knocking got more and more louder as the time passes by. I got scared. This is getting more and more suspicious and scary. It sounds too inhuman. I don't think these loud bangs are actually coming from humans. What is it??

I ran toward the kitchen, panicked, took a knife and went back to my bedroom and hid under the bed, too scared to even breathe. More bangs can be heard from my room, even though both my ear and the door to my room is shut tightly.

'Oh gosh...What do I do? What do I do? What if it's not a human? I should call Dad!' - I thought of dad first as I came out to pick my phone and call my dad. The phone is ringing but no one's answering it.

The banging had stopped abruptly. It became silent all of a sudden. There's no sound of anything... Not even the clock's tik tok.

I couldn't hear anything. I picked up the knife and went to check the door if it's ok or not, flinching on every single micro sounds that comes along the way. Everything's dark and an eerie feeling of cold air gushing past me. I remember shutting every single window because a storm was supposed to be taken place tonight. Where's the air coming from?

I don't remember the apartment being this dark  before. Then again, I never woke up at this hour before. Even though I am so scared of the outcome but stil I walked toward the door with weak movements.

The thing I feared the most has happened...the door is unlocked... It's completely broken, no, more like torn apart. Only one question circulating my mind, a metal door, torn? how?

As I looked a little above the already torn door Someo- something shadowy standing right above the damaged door. It has no arms or legs but it's standing...more like floating, now that makes more sense. I can't seem to find its head nor its face but I can feel it's dark eyes glancing down at me. I can't see it's sharp razor teeth but I feel there's one. I didn't realized when it came so close to me, I was looking at it with my eyes widened without blinking my eyes, when did it get so close?

In a moment, I felt a cold ring of something wrapping around my neck and suffocating me. I couldn't move my body as it slowly suffocate me without even touching me. It opened its mouth, sharp teeth shaped blade with blood can be seen. His tongue was now on my right eye and before I could even react, it pulled my eyes out of my socket and ate it right in front of me, making me witness my own death without making me blink...

I opened my eyes with a start. Small beads of sweat all over the forehead, heart's pumping faster, it almost felt like everything was real.

"Thank god, it isn't..." - a huge grin formed on the corner of my lips as I signed out loud. Before going back to sleep again, I took a glance at the clock...

It's 2:36...
