We've been here for at least 2 days now and we haven't left the mansion. Thankfully, the mansion was in a very secluded area that had a walk out to the ocean. I made my way to the back of the walk out and headed towards the ocean. It was evening and the sunset glistened over the water that reflected back. I crossed my arms, hugging myself and was deep in thought.

My mind wandered back to when I was chained from the ankles; screaming and crying for help. I remembered banging my fists against the dirty, cold, concrete floor. Looking at my left hand, I began to remember when I screamed in pain and agony with the broken fingers I've received. Running my hands down my side, the broken ribs. I closed my eyes and winced.

"You okay M?" said a voice.

I was startled as I turned around. It was Axle. "Y-yeah, I'm fine." I replied, trying to recollect my thoughts.

Axle stood beside me, focusing on my face and then looking out at the ocean as the waves crashed forward gracefully towards the sand and then back. "M, I worry about you. You really shouldn't have come." He said.

I looked at him. "I'm fine, really Axle." I said, nonchalantly.

"You're not. You know— that day when Mateo and I found you, you weren't the same. Your eyes that were once bright and filled with joy.. that all disappeared. They were dark and empty. I know that day changed you. It broke something inside of you and Mateo can see it too." He said.

My eyes began to water. Axle was right. Ever since the incident, I've been so jumpy, looking over my shoulder all the time— the nights I spent waking up screaming and crying.. I tried to push all that aside. For fuck sakes! I'm the daughter of a Mafia Boss. I didn't want to seem weak and helpless.

"So what? It doesn't matter Axle. I'm a Salvatore and this is what my life's about— this is what I was BORN into. Shit' was bound to happen and I was prepared for it. I survived, didn't I?" I said trying not to sound weak.

Axle stayed quiet. "Besides, we came here to end this shit once and for-all and I'm definitely not going anywhere. I'm prepared and whatever happens, I'm going to face consequences— if there are any." I continued as I began to walk back towards the mansion leaving Axle behind me.

I went into the mansion and seen that Ivan and Mateo were standing around the dining room table with a few other figures with their backs turned towards me. They turned around. I stopped in my tracks.

"Oh my god!" I yelled as I ran up towards a warm embrace.

"Hey principéssa." Said Dad smiling.

Along with him were Dante, Cardo, Nico and even my brother, Carlos. "W-what are you guys doing here?! I thought we had things under control right now?" I said as I turned to Mateo, smiling. He smiled back.

Mateo shoved his hands in his pockets and leaned against the table, "Just thought it would be right if I called them." He added.

Carlos came and put his arm around my shoulder, "You really thought we'd miss all the fun?" He said as he smirked.

I rolled my eyes and shook my head. I felt a little more at ease knowing that my father, brother and his men were here.

"Mateo, the Manada De Lobos Cartel are willing to help us." Said Ivan.

"Ah, Manny Perez's crew. Good choice Moretti." Said Dad.

"We'll meet them later tonight around 9pm at the abandon mining grounds about 30 miles south from here." Said Mateo. Everyone nodded.

I look at my phone. "So in about 2 hours?" I added. Mateo nodded.

"Me, Ivan and Cardo will go. Everyone else just wait it out here for us." Ordered Mateo.

"No Moretti, I'll go." Said Dad. Everyone's attention was now focused on him. "I'll take Ivan, Dante and Carlos. You and Cardo with the rest will stay here. Besides, it's been more than a decade since I've last seen Perez." He added.

"Alright Luca, just keep me updated." Said Mateo. Dad nodded.

"Um, hello?— what about me? I'm coming too." I said.

"No Mia, you stay here with Mateo." Demanded my Dad.

"But—" I added.

"NO buts Mia." Dad insisted.

It went quiet for a moment before everyone decided to separate around the dining area to do their own thing. Mateo followed behind me as I walked away annoyed. He's doing it again. He's treating me like a child, and not only that, I still feel like everyone is walking on eggshells around me. That's the LAST thing I need, especially when we're about to go to war.

"Hey babe." Called out Mateo as he tapped me on my shoulder. I turned towards him.

"What Mateo?" I asked sternly.

"Listen, I know you're annoyed with your father, but he's only trying to keep you safe." Justified Mateo.

"Safe? It's just a fucking meet-up Mateo. We're not going to war just yet. Not only is this about your mother, let's not forget that it's about me too! I have just as much right to be there and through it all. I deserve it that much. I'm tired— tired of you guys treating me like some precious, newborn CHILD." I argued.

Mateo pinched the bridge of his nose and looked around before swiping his thumb underneath his nose. "Alright Mia—" he started. Mateo walked towards my dad and I followed closely behind.

"Salvatore, slight change of plans. We're coming too." He continued.

My dad looked at Mateo and then back at me for a moment before saying anything. His attention focused on Mateo again.

"Alright Moretti. We leave in 2 hours."
