Sometimes I wished my friends weren't so noisy. I glanced hastily over my shoulders to check if my friends were yet stalking me again. A sigh of release escaped my throat as I saw no trace of my friends. Even though I really like my friends I know they wouldn't like my new girlfriend. For the longest time I have always hated my girlfriend, she was everything that I used to think I resented. I always thought that she felt that she was a gift to all of humanity, with her head pointed to the sky and a condescending look and smirk that radiates from her face whenever I walk past her. Imagine what it felt like when I suddenly decided that I had enough with her snidey comments, her rude demeanour and her annoying yet attractive smirk that I could never seem to wipe of her face and decided to confront her on the issue.
It started off as an average day of school, I went to class with my friends who were also lucky enough to be part of the gem of the school, a sports team known nationally for producing some of the top prospects of college hockey and later players in the National Hockey Team. It has always been my dream to play professional in my home country of Toronto. I used to always dream about what it feels like to play in the world's biggest stage and make the country that supported me proud. As I was contemplating and dreaming about the future the bell suddenly rang, and with it I ran to my calculus class. As usual I arrive late yet again but just like usual and luckily for me, my best friend Auston Matthew saved me a seat at the back of the class. "Mathew do you have something to say" I hear my professor yell from across the room.
