In The Shadows

They stood there heartbroken and speechless.
"Maybe I did love one of you, Scarlett you were always my favorite."
"Ever wondered how you Victoria, ended up in the trashcan?, I threw you away because I wanted Scarlett to be my only daughter. Too bad your stupid father wouldn't leave you there you would have been better off."
"ENOUGH!" Victoria said crying. She had been crushed and it hurt to hear that she wasn't loved. She ran out of her step mothers bedroom and Scarlett followed after her.
"I'm so sorry" Scarlett said trying to show empathy.
"What are you sorry for Scarlett? Are you sorry because you were always loved ? Are you sorry that you are every ones favorite twin? You have no valid reason to be sorry. I was the one thrown out to live with the rats. Its not like I am even my own person. Its like I am just a shadow that lingers behind you. Its funny how I never even get appreciated. If its something that involves you people will go out of their way just to see if you need help.
No one even cares if I get sick or hurt. People don't even refer to me by name anymore. They call me Scarlett's sister."
"Can you stop complaining and let me talk for once?"Scarlett said rolling her eyes.
"Stop complaining? Did you just ask me to stop complaining? Letty, I was just told I was never loved. ",she was crying so hard she could barely speak.
"I understand that but......"
"COPA!" She said cutting her off, "copa......" She said as she left her sister in the middle of the hallway. She stopped talking because her sister wanted her to understand.
But she couldn't understand. Letty was always in the spotlight so she never experienced being in the shadows. She didn't get that her sister wanted to come out into the light. She wanted to come out from behind the barrier which was her sister.
