I make my way to Master Dracorium's classroom, eager to practice my dragon shifting abilities. But as I approach the door, the conversation with Ryze replays in my mind. His words linger in my thoughts, making it hard to focus on the task at hand.
I take a deep breath and shake my head, trying to clear my mind. I can't let my distraction interfere with my training. I push open the door and enter the classroom, taking a seat on one of the cushions arranged in a circle.
Master Dracorium enters the room, his imposing figure commanding the attention of everyone present. He greets me with a nod and begins the lesson.
As he explains the intricacies of dragon shifting, I find myself struggling to concentrate. My mind keeps wandering back to Ryze and our conversation earlier. The idea that we might be twin flames is both thrilling and intimidating.
Master Dracorium notices my lack of focus and pauses in his lecture. "Is something troubling you, young one?" he asks, his eyes piercing into mine.
I feel a flush of embarrassment at being caught. "No, Master. I'm just having a hard time concentrating," I admit.
He nods understandingly. "It's important to clear your mind before attempting any form of magic or shifting. Take a moment to gather your thoughts, and then try again," he advises.
I take a deep breath and close my eyes, trying to focus on my breathing and searching for the familiar hum. Slowly, my mind begins to clear, and I feel a sense of calm wash over me.
Master Dracorium, now satisfied, continues his lesson, "I want you to focus on just shifting one part of your body. Let's focus on making your talons come out."
I take a deep breath and nod, determined to push aside my distracting thoughts and focus on the task at hand. I close my eyes and visualize my dragon form, feeling the familiar tingle of magic in my veins. I concentrate on my hands, visualizing my claws extending from my fingertips.
At first, nothing happens. But then, slowly, I feel a sharp pain in my hands, and when I open my eyes, I see that my fingernails have turned into sharp talons.
Master Dracorium nods approvingly. "Well done. Now, try to retract them back to your human form."
I focus again, feeling the magic flowing through me, and slowly my talons recede back into my fingers. It's a small accomplishment, but I feel a sense of pride and satisfaction. I can't wait to learn more and develop my skills further.
As the class ends, Master Dracorium gives me a nod of approval. "You have potential, young one. Keep practicing, and you'll master your abilities in no time."
I smile, feeling a sense of accomplishment. As I leave the classroom and make my way back to my quarters, I run into Kamden.
"Hey, how was class?" Kamden asks with a smile.
"It was good," I reply, feeling a bit distracted.
"What's on your mind?" he asks, noticing my lack of focus.
I hesitate for a moment before deciding to confide in him. "I had a conversation with Ryze earlier, and he mentioned the idea that we might be twin flames," I say, feeling a rush of emotions.
Kamden's eyebrows raise in surprise. "Really? Sounds like a big deal. What is that exactly?"
"Twin flames are two souls that were once united but separated and reborn into different bodies. They are fated to reunite in each lifetime and assist each other in spiritual growth and development.," I explain, feeling a bit nervous about how Kamden will react.
Kamden listens intently and nods thoughtfully. "That's interesting. Do you believe in that kind of thing?" I shrug, unsure of my own beliefs. "I don't know. It's a bit overwhelming to think about, but part of me can't help but feel drawn to Ryze."
