Sean rubbed the back of his head, having an apologetical look on his face, "Abby... I'm sorry. Your confession... I really appreciate your feelings for me, but I couldn't be your boyfriend. I don't love you. I'm sorry..." He looked at her for a moment before looking away.
That girl scratched her head while faking a smile, "...It's okay. I couldn't force you to love me anyway." She took a deep sigh before continuing, "But... Sean, can I ask you something?"
"Hmm? Yes, what is it?"
"The reason why you rejected my confession..." Her eyes were locked on him. "Is it because you already have someone you love?" She asked, looking eager to know. Then she knew she was right when Sean nodded his head, having a cheery smile on his lips.
"Yes." His face suddenly lit up to the thought of that person in his mind.
"I see..." She was lost in thoughts, feeling dejected.
"Abby... Why? Is something wrong?"
"Ah, no, nothing at all." She shook her head, faking a smile again. "I've class now. See you again next time, Sean. Cheerio~" She waved and then quickly turned her back on him and left afterwards. Meanwhile Sean just watched her back slowly faded as she got farther and farther, with no visible emotion on his face.
He kept staring into the blank until...
He felt a hard tap on his shoulder, "Yo!" He turned around and saw his best friend, Kael was standing right before his eyes. "Kael, don't startle me like that! I'm gonna die sooner or later if you keep showing out of nowhere and startling me!" Sean's lips were pouted slightly, acting a little bit like a girl.
"Ah, sorry.. I guess so. I didn't mean to startle you." Kael grinned like an idiot. "Anyway, that's not my point." He placed his hands on Sean's shoulders and stared him straight in the eyes. "Sean, be frank, Abby has confessed her feelings to you just now, right?"
"Yeah, so?"
"So, did you accept her confession?"
Sean laughed a little, sounding like he faked it, "Don't be silly. Of course I didn't."
By hearing to his answer, Kael gasped in disbelief. "Eeehhh?!! You turned her down?!!" He smacked his forehead afterwards. "Sean, I can't believe you would actually do this!"
"Huh? Why? I shouldn't have done that?" Sean looked puzzled and confused.
"Of course you shouldn't!" Kael sighed deeply in exasperation. "How stupid can you be? You've just turned down Abby's confession! Like you don't know that she is a hot stuff here in this campus! Every boy here said like that! Gosh! I can't believe you'll do such a stupid thing like this! You let such a rare opportunity slipped through your fingers." Kael shook his head in disbelief.
"But... I don't love her."
"I bet it's because of that Shin guy, isn't it? That's why you rejected Abby?" Impressively, he knew he guessed it correctly by looking at Sean's thin smile. "Ah~ Sean! You never changed! Up until now, you've rejected 4 confessions because of that guy!"
