X-License Plate

Everybody is looking at me because I did not greet them and I'm quite running on my way to the elevator. I call Jisoo to tell her where I'm going just in case she can't contact me also later today. She's really worried about me and Chaeng so she told me that she will follow us and will bring some backup police.

I am now on my way to Gangwon, it's a 2 hour drive from Seoul. My mind is on a deep thought when my phone rings. Without looking at the caller ID, I answered the call.

"Hello?" After a few more seconds, no one is talking on the other line. So I check who is it.

"Chaeng?!!! Is that you?!! Where are you?!! I'm on my way to Gangwon right now! Please tell me that you are okay!" I panicked when I saw that Chaeng's number is on the other line. I can here faint voices but still can't distinguish if it's from her.

"Hello is this her guardian?" I heard a male voice from the other line. Since Rosie's parents died, I am the one who is always there for her. I am not her guardian since she is old enough but I am her contact person in case of emergency.

"Yes I am her friend. Who are you and what happened to Rosie?!"

"I am one of the civilian that happens to call the rescue team. Your friend had a car accident. Her car bumped on the post. And we are on our way to the hospital. Will you please go straight to Gangwon Hospital?"

It is not an accident. I knew it. Someone is behind all of this. They don't want us to see the whole cctv footage. They are trying to sabitage this case!

"I'm on my way." With that I speed up the car and called Jisoo unnie to give her an update.

I arrived at the hospital and went straight to nurse station. They told me that Chaeng is still on the operating room. They told me that Chaeng's head was bumped on the steering wheel real hard and her leg was trapped on her car when the rescuers found her.

I fell on my knees and didn't notice that I am already crying until I felt the tears on my cheeks.

I've found the civilian who helped Rosie and I retrieve all her belongings. I search her bag and try to find the usb that contains the cctv footage. But it's nowhere to be found. All along, Rosie sacrificed her life for the footage but the copy got stolen from us.

After a few hours Jisoo unnie arrived and we are both silent while waiting for the doctor. She carress my back trying to console me with the sudden situation that we are in. We did not expect anything like this to happen. This is worst.

We stand up on our seat once we saw the doctor that comes out on the operating room.

"Are you the relatives of Ms. Park, Roseanne?"

"We are her friends. How is she?" Jisoo said.

"The operation was successful but she is still unconscious. I am not sure when is she going to wake up. Her head was badly injured. She is now being transferred to ICU."

My tears flows out once again, and Jisoo embraced me. I'm sorry Rosie, this is my fault. Why do I have to let you go alone.

"This is my fault unnie." I am silently crying while we are looking at Chaeng outside the ICU with a lot of tube connected to her body.

"Don't you dare put this on you Jennie. This is no one's fault. None of us wanted this to happen." She sternly said to me.

"Let's go home for now and take a rest. We will come back here tomorrow Jen."

"No unnie, I need to go to the location of the incident."

"No Jennie, the police are already there and doing their job. And my job as your sister is to take care of you! We will go home now and will come back here tomorrow morning."

I did not say anything. I am too tired to protest so I just nod my head. I need a quiet place to think. Rosie, the people behind this, and Lisa with her trial.

After we got home I went straight to my bed. With my back lying flatly, I stared at the ceiling. A lot of things happened today. 10 hours ago I am talking to Chaeng, and now she lying on the hospital bed without the assurance that she will wake up. I can't control my tears so I let it flow. I cannot think clearly.

My phone beeps indicating that I got a notification.

When I look at it, it's an email from Rosie's account. I got up immediately to check the email.

'Hi Unnie, if you receive this email it means that I did not turned off this scheduled send mail and it only means that something bad happened to me. I just got inside my car and I immediately compose this email because I noticed that there's a man wearing a black hoodie following me around. This is the license plate number of his car '52가 3108'. Could please check it for me? And get me my revenge. Hehe kidding aside, the main purpose of my email is the attached link below. That is a download link for the soft copy of the cctv footage and you will not believe on what I saw. Lisa is innocent unnie! I told you so! How I wish I could say it to you personally. But please, what ever happens to me promise me that you will fight for Lisa's case until she become free again. Thank you Jen unnie. Thank you for taking care of me when my parents died. I can still remember what you said that day. That you will find whoever did that to them. But we should save Lisa first, because she is still have a life to live not unlike my parents. I am forever grateful that I met you Unnie. Til' next time.'

'Rosieeeee. I can't imagine how scared you are while composing this email. You are a really good friend to Lisa. Why didn't you contact me directly instead of facing it alone?! I could have followed you with some police backups and you might not ended up in hospital right now.' I cried my heart out. And I am fucking talking to this email as if Chaeng can hear my bickering. I heard Jisoo is running probably she heard me crying.

Once she abruptly opened the door I run up to her and hug her.

"Unnieeeee." I am crying on her arms and she returned the hug right away.

"It's okay Jen, everything will be alright."

Once I calmed down, I showed her the email from Chaeng and we downloaded the video file to watch it together. Indeed, Lisa is innocent. The video shows that after Pranpiya left, that's when the time when Lisa came and trying to help the man. She pulled out the knife that was buried on his body, then the police came. So it come's out like she is the who stabbed the man.

I know for sure that when they saw this cctv footage they will notice that it is a two different woman. But why are they blindingly blind about the truth? Were they bribed about this? It will be an easy job for them also since Lisa and Pranpiya are looking exactly the same, that's why they cut the footage on where Pranpiya stabbed the man. Then pointed out that it was Lisa. Case closed. Easy.

But who will bribed them about this and why? Then I remember on Rosie's email about the man with a hoodie and his license plate number.

"You have a tool for the license registration right? We can check whose plate number is this. Go and check it." Jisoo said.

I opened my laptop and open this license tool. I type the number and click search. I got shock with the name that appear on the result.

"Kim, Jong Un. Did you know this person Jen?" Unnie asked me.

"Kai's brother."
