"nari? are you ready?" jaesook as the nervous woman next to her.

after the phone call with hyungwon she brought herself to message saeron and ask if she could see chulsoo this weekend. she was too anxious to go alone so she asked jaesook to accompany her. saeron who grew up with hyungwon was excited to see her friend's mother and also wanted her to meet her son, so she seen no issue with her coming over.

nari nods her head softly even though it seemed hesitant, "yes." she smiles, shifting the small bag she held that contained gifts for their new addition, to her other hand. she gently knocks on the door waiting for a response.

"just a second," hyunwoo's voice can be heard from the other side and he opens the door smiling seeing nari and jaesook. "hello, come on in." he moves to the side to let them in. he looked tired, his hair wasn't neatly done, like it always was. he was wearing a t-shirt and sweat pants. nari expected nothing less from new parents.

"hey, congratulations," she smiles as the two embrace.

"thank you," he smiles before greeting hyungwon's mother.

"you must be super excited having him around," jaesook responds. "the first baby of group."

hyunwoo nods his head, "just need the rest of them to catch up now," he says in a joking way then quickly realized his words. "i'm sorry," he says shaking his head. feeling he had been insensitive to nari. he was also the only one from the friend group who knew of nari and hyungwon's loss.

she shakes her head in response, "it's okay. it wasn't meant that way. it's fine." she smiles at him trying to assure him that he hadn't hurt her feelings.

he nods hesitantly, "let's go to the living room, she's in there with him," he says leading them into his apartment.

saeron was sitting on the couch baby in arms as she rocks him carefully. she looks up seeing nari and jaesook. "oh come in, i'm sorry it's a bit messy," she explains as she was about to get up to greet them. "i guess i'm a bit of a mess too."

"don't get up," jaesook tells her. "sit, you might wake your little one and don't be silly saeron you're always beautiful."

she nods in response, "yeah he just got fed so he's sleeping. come and sit." she pats the free space next to her. "it's nice seeing you two."

jaesook gently nudged nari to sit by saeron, "hi, saeron. congratulations," she says sitting next to her as she makes a slight peek at the baby.

"thanks nari." she smiles and notices nari taking small glimpse at the baby. "would you like to hold him?" she asks holding the baby slightly out.

nari felt her cheeks go slightly pink as she she stumbled a bit on her response, "oh, i'm not good with babies. hyungwon says it all the time," she says honestly. "i might wake him or he might cry."

"it's okay, give it a try, when he's asleep. he's out like a light," saeron explains.

nari looks to jaesook, who gives her an encouraging nod. she looks back to saeron and nods. "okay." she says as she awkwardly tries to position her arms to accept the baby.

saeron helps her carefully adjust the baby in her arms, "look at you. looks like you were meant for this." she smiles at her friend.
