The stadium lights shined along as the blue lock You stood on the sidelines, waiting for Isagi Yoichi, your heart beating a little faster than you'd like to admit. He was drenched in sweat, the sharp focus in his eyes still burning from the intense practice. His jersey clung to his body, showing off the hard-earned muscle from months of relentless work.
You were just friends or that's what you told yourself anyway. But recently, there had been something more lingering tension between you two, something unspoken yet electric.
Isagi jogged over to where you were standing, his breath slightly labored. He wiped his forehead with the back of his hand, giving you a lopsided grin. "Thanks for waiting, Y/N. Training went a little longer than I thought."
"It's fine. You look like you're working hard, as usual," you replied, trying to sound casual, but your eyes kept drifting to how his shirt clung to his chest, and how his hair stuck to his forehead, framing his face.
Isagi noticed the shift in your gaze, and his grin widened, a bit more confident than usual. "What? Something on my face?"
Your cheeks heated, but you shook your head. "No, it's just... You're always pushing yourself so hard, you know?"
"Gotta stay on top if I want to win," he said, stepping closer, his voice dropping slightly. "But it's not just the game that keeps me going. It's... other things too." His eyes met yours, a flicker of something more intense in them.
You blinked, feeling the air between you grow heavy. "Other things?" you asked, your voice quieter now, almost hesitant.
"Yeah," Isagi murmured, taking another step closer, the space between you almost non-existent now. His hand brushed against your arm, sending a shiver down your spine. "Like you."
Your breath caught in your throat. Was he saying what you thought he was? You tried to play it off, but the closeness, the heat radiating from him, made it hard to think straight.
"Me?" you asked, your voice barely above a whisper.
Isagi's eyes darkened as he tilted his head, his voice low and steady. "You've been driving me crazy, Y/N. Every time I see you, I want to be closer." His hand gently cupped your cheek, thumb brushing your skin as his gaze dropped to your lips. "And right now, I can't think about anything else."
Your heart raced as his words sunk in, and before you could respond, Isagi leaned in, his lips hovering just above yours. "Do you feel it too?" he asked, his breath warm against your skin.
You didn't need to answer with words. Instead, you closed the remaining gap, pressing your lips against his, and in that moment, everything else disappeared. Isagi responded immediately, his hand slipping to the back of your neck, deepening the kiss with a hunger that caught you off guard.
It wasn't just sweet—it was intense, full of passion that had been building for who knows how long. His other hand found your waist, pulling you closer, and you could feel the heat between you both growing. Every touch, every movement, felt charged with energy.
When you finally pulled apart, both of you were breathing heavily, your faces still close. Isagi's eyes were hooded, his voice rough as he whispered, "I've been waiting for that. But now that I've started, I don't know if I can stop."
You grinned, your fingers trailing down his chest. "Then don't."
Isagi let out a low chuckle, pulling you back to him. "You're dangerous, Y/N. But I like it."
