Lily Riding Hood (The Return Of The Red Hood)

Chapter 1

It was autumn, the leaves are falling from the trees and the pumpkins are ripe.

"Lilian! Can you please send this letter to Mrs. Lottie, I need to go to the docks to buy some fish" I heard my mother Aliya said.

" Of course mother " I answered and took the letter from her hand.

Mrs. Lottie is my father's aunt and a witch, she live far east in the forest but I often visit her because I love borrowing hers books. She has a lot of book either with stories and legends, but most are spell books since she is a witch.

As I pass the once known as the blood river, I remembered one of her books that talks about that river. It used to be blood red but now it's just a river with dirty water. I always wanted to see how it look like in the pass but never got a chance.

My parents always forbid me to come here during a red moon for the said it was dangerous.

I don't know why but everytime I came here I felt serenity within me.

Legend has it that this river turns blood red when a rare red moon appears in the night sky.

That is the time when the river water becomes toxic and deadly that whoever touch the bloody water will die as if it was bitten by a venomous snake and die a painful death.

As I continue to walk, a strong wind suddenly came, making the tree branches sway and make a bone chilling noise. I quickened my pace and left the river.

Finally I got to her town, I pass lots of shop selling potion ingredients and more.

"Lilian your here" Mr. Ron greeted me, " I believe your here for books again " he chuckled.

I laughed and said " yes but I also had a letter from my mother to her so I need to go, bye Mr. Ron" I wave my hand and left, he's a little weird but they all are.

Finally I got to her house, I knock three times and went in, she doesn't really mind someone coming inside her house as long as they knocked three times. Like I said they are weird.

"Hello Mrs. Lottie, I got a letter for you it's from my mother" I said when I saw her in her kitchen cooking some sort of soup.

"Hello there lily, thank you for for that" she took the letter from me and sit to read it.

Lily is the name she calls me and I don't know why I mean it's a nice name but It's just nevermind.

" Can I go to the library Mrs. Lottie? I like to borrow some books" I ask

" Of course you can " she said

I went to her library and check the books out. I really love books because they hold a lot of history.

As I was checking, I stumbled upon an old dusty book, well all of her books are dusty but this one seems to be untouched. It was in the back of the shelf. I can't really read the title because of the dust so  I took it out and wipe it off.

I finally saw the cover but it has no title, it's a red and Small book , small enough to fit in my bag.

I opened it and was welcomed with a storm of dust, why is everything so dusty in a witches home, I mumble

As the dust clear away I saw a beautiful picture in the front page of the book. It was a red flower, but the creepy part was that flower was a red spider Lily and that flower symbolizes death, but instead of being scared I decided to take it and read it at home.

I went out from the library and bid my goodbye to Mrs. Lottie.

As I walk back home I felt shivers, Its like the forest is watching me and I never felt that before.

I just continued Walking and ignore it but suddenly stop when I saw a beautiful red spider Lily flower in the side of the road. I freak out and ran till I reached my home.
