"Oh my! You all voted correctly! What an unexpected and unpredictable outcome! The blackened who killed Kirumi Tojo is Ryoma Hoshi, the Ultimate Tennis Pro!"

The second class trial had come to an end. Shuichi had just exposed Ryoma for killing Kirumi and had finished summarizing the case.

"Well done, kid. That's a pretty accurate explanation of what happened." Ryoma praised.

"Phew! Thank goodness we managed to get through another class trial!" Kokichi said.

"Ryoma... why? Why you kill Kirumi?"

Gonta couldn't believe it. He was feeling a lot of emotions. Anger, sadness... despair. He despaired over the fact that Ryoma, the person who promised him that he wouldn't kill anyone, had just been exposed for murder.

Ryoma sighed, "It was a last minute decision. I never meant to kill Kirumi."

"You... never meant it?" Shuichi asked. He didn't know that, even after he figured out the whole case.

Ryoma nodded, "I was going to let myself get killed. I thought I had nothing to live for. But then, I remembered that I had one thing... or should I say, person to keep living for." Ryoma gave Gonta a look.

"The hell is this gonna be, some love confession or some shit?" Miu boomed.

"Maybe you should just shut the hell up, cum dumpster."

"Heeee?!"

"Like Shuichi said, I dodged Kirumi's attempt to knock me out. I tried to get out of my lab, but Kirumi kept blocking my only exit, and there was no way I was gonna jump out the window. She kept trying to knock me out, so I had no choice but to defend myself. I planned to knock her out instead, but I guess I put too much force into my swing."

Gonta wanted to cry. He didn't want to believe Ryoma killed Kirumi. It had to be a mistake. This whole thing had to be a dream and in a few minutes, he'd wake up and Kirumi would still be alive. Ryoma wouldn't be confessing to his crime in the trial room.

'No. Gonta won't cry. Ryoma don't want that. Is ungentlemanly to do something someone else doesn't like.' Gonta repeated those words in his head multiple times. He tried to get himself to stop feeling sad, but he just couldn't. Tears were threatening to spill out of his eyes.

"Gonta don't understand. Gonta don't want Ryoma to die."

Ryoma shifted his gaze towards Gonta. Seeing Gonta despair over the fact that he was going to die, the former tennis player went over to him.

"Hey now, big guy. I hate to say this, but I'm going to die, and there's nothing you can do about it. However, I do want you to know this. You can get through this killing game without me. You can survive without me."

The tears that threatened to spill fell from Gonta's eyes as he sniffled, "B-but... Gonta don't want Ryoma to leave him. Gonta wants to survive with everyone else. Gonta wants to survive with you."

Ryoma took a deep breath and looked up at Gonta, "Gonta, I want you to promise me this. I want you to survive this killing game and escape with the others. Can you keep that promise for me?" Ryoma requested.

Gonta sniffled once again before looking Ryoma in his eyes, "Gonta will try. Gonta will help everyone escape."

"That's exactly what I wanted to hear." Ryoma flashed a rare smile. Gonta trapped Ryoma in a hug. Ryoma was surprised, but hugged back anyway.

"Stay strong for me, okay?"

"Gonta will." Gonta was choking back a sob. He hugged Ryoma like he was going to die. Well, he actually was going to die.
