Mia's POV:
I took a seat on the balcony hanging over the top of the Ferrari garage. I wanted to be close to him, and I didn't feel I could do that sitting where I usually would.

The Azerbaijan track always seemed to cause issues, and it worried me sitting up on the balcony, watching as the boys warmed up their tyres.

I hated watching races by myself, but I was sure by the end of the season idve found someone to accompany me. I leant my head against the railing and looked down on the track, backing away slightly when I saw paparazzi begin to notice me.

I pulled my chair back so that I was out of view, and pulled on my sunglasses. I had a lot to think about, but now wasn't the time, as the lights had just gone green and the sound of roaring engines deafened me once more.

I couldn't see properly, so pulled my chair closer to the balcony and leaning my head against the barrier once more, unbothered by who was watching.

The first few laps were so busy, so many overtakes and a few minor crashes, but my mind was focused on the boy in red.

'Would you look at that! Charles Leclerc crashes at turn 5! It seems to be an engine issue!'

I stood up, my heart pounding in my chest, the sick feeling I'd felt last time weighing me down.  All eyes met mine, and I took a deep breath, and so I slowly walked inside, making sure I was out of view before grabbing a pair of headphones and listening in on the radio.

'Someone tell her I'm okay! Fuck, tell her I'm fucking okay.' I heard Charles shouting.

I sighed a heavy breath, resting my head in my hands, taking a few seconds before moving the mic to my lips.

'Are you hurt?' I asked, hoarsely.

I knew that it wasn't a bad crash, nowhere near as bad as his last one. However, I couldn't help but worry every single time.

'No I'm fine, look. I'm gonna jump right out this car and I'll be with you in a few minutes, okay?' He reassured me.

'You don't need to speak to me like this, you're the one who just crashed.' I said, looking around the garage, everyone watching me as they heard what I did.

'I know that I'm alright. Give me 5 minutes and I'll be with you.' He said.

I looked up at the tv, watching him climb from his car and kiss two fingers, holding them over his heart and then up at the sky.

Xavier took off his headphones and walked over to me, pulling up a seat and handing me a water bottle, raising his eyebrows when I politely declined.

'I'm okay.' I said, nodding my head at him.

'He's so in love with you.' Xavier mumbled.

'I know.' Was all I could respond.

'Have you ever seen anyone crash into a wall and check up on someone not even racing before himself?' He chuckled.

'No.'

'He'll hold your heart close to his chest for as long as you'll look after his.' He said, squeezing my shoulder and making his way towards the garage doors, waiting for Charles to arrive.

I zoned out, staring towards the door, not even noticing when Charles arrived, jumping when I felt him grab my shoulders.

His hands were shaking, more from the adrenaline than anything, and he pulled me close to his chest and held my head against him.

'I'm so glad you're okay.' I whispered.

'I'll always be okay.' He said, littering kisses along my head.
