the virus

Evelyn and her friends were on their bikes riding around the skate park. Carlo and Luna both said that they will go get hot chocolates from the van nearby. Evelyn and Milo continued to ride around while Carlo and Luna both went to get the hot chocolate.

Evelyn asked Milo "did you hear about the news from the other day about that virus?"

"Yea I did, it sounds pretty scary, what if it gets out of the lab?" Milo spoke with a shaky voice
"don't be silly. They have it in a suture place there's no way it will get out" Evelyn answered.

"I guess your right"

Carlo and Luna rode back with hot chocolates for all of them.
"Thank you!" Evelyn and Milo said in sync

They all sat down on the grass drinking their drinks.

After a long time of silence Luna spoke "so what do you guys think of the hot chocolate?"

"It's fantastic" milo replied and Carlo and Evelyn agreed

"that's good, soooo what do you think about that virus?" Luna questioned

"Oh, me and milo where just talking about that when you two where gone"
"oh yea? I think it's really cool"
"in my opinion I think this stuff is just all made up to scare everyone" Carlo spoke up

"You don't believe in a lot of stuff so its not surprising that you don't believe this stuff" Evelyn rolled her eyes

"Oh, shut up" Carlo snapped at Evelyn

Milo stood up "guys stop fighting please"
the rest of the group stood up as well
"I agree with milo you two have been at each other's necks ever since that argument over a maths score" Luna said

"whatever" Carlo rolled his eyes "let's go home"

When they got to Evelyn's home they walked in and sat on the couch. 

Evelyn turns the TV on to the news

'new breach has been measured about the virus, scientists have stated that they have found that this virus is deadly to humans and animals. As of yet there is no vaccine for this virus and we do not know if the virus Is out in the world'

"Oh no- "Milo started to get really worried.

"Welp looks like we might be going in lockdown" Evelyn sighed

Evelyn stood up "you all should go home"

they stood up and went home to their families to see if they were okay.

A couple of days later the news stared that the virus has been leashed into the world.

Sirens started blaring around the city. Warning everyone. There was an announcement.

'everyone get all the food you can and stay inside until further instructions this is a deadly virus.'

Everyone went into a panic but no one was affected as of yet. As people panicked stores were flooded with people trying to get food.

At first, when the virus started, it was just a few isolated incidents of people turning into mindless, flesh-eating zombies. But soon the virus began spreading like wildfire, infecting more and more people until it reached epidemic proportions. Panic and chaos ensued as governments tried to contain the outbreak.

Evelyn and her friends were terrified as they watched the new. They could not believe that the virus they had been talking about just days ago was now a threat to their lives.

They decided to stay at home and wait it out.

"Evelyn what are we going to do." milo started to worry

"Look we have what we need for now." Evelyn said calmly

"Hm okay then."

As days turned into weeks, they realized that they were running out of food and supplies. Evelyn walked to her basement to get her guns and stuff so they could go get supplies. Then when she got that. Her and friends went out of the safety of her house and venture out into the affected world.

They rode their bikes through the deserted streets trying to avoid the zombies that roamed the streets. They scavenged for food and water. They broke into abandoned stores and homes for the search of supplies.

As they rode further, they uncounted the city which was nearby. They rode into the city. As they rode on their bikes through the city, they encountered other survivors, some of whom had banded together into groups for protection They all asked the group
"would we be able to join the group to stay safe??"

The group nodded.

After that Evelyn and her friends shared their resources and knowledge about what they knew about what was going on. After explaining carlo grabbed out a map of the area that they were in. carlo marked out where they saw zombies and they made a plain in their new small community. Milo planned out that some people would go out to see if there were any supplies left in the city.

Evelyn spoke up, "I think we need to try to find the science lab aswell to see if we can make a cure/vaccine"
Luna said "Evelyn I don't think we can we are only high school students. There's not possible way that we can make a vaccine for everyone in the whole world."

"I mean we can try" milo spoke softly

As the group continued discussing their plain, they realised that they need to find a way to communicate with the outside world to let people (if they are still alive) that the group is alive and surviving. They decided to try and find a radio tower and see if they could send a signal.

They split up into smaller groups to cover more ground to search for the raido tower. Evelyn and milo went together, while Carlo and luna went with some of the other survivors. They rode their bokes through the city trying to avoid the zombies around them.

After hours of searching. Evelyn and milo stumbles upon an old radio station, they jumped in excitement.

"We finally found it!" milo screamed

They quickly searched inside the tower for a working radio transmitter. After a while they found a working transmitter that seemed to be connected to the government HQ.

Evelyn spoke up saying "can anyone hear us? If so, we are a small group of survivors in the city still alive and trying to fight back the zombies from getting any of us, we are also wondering if we can request your help in finding a cure for the virus so no one else gets infected."

There was no reply so they just left the tower. Evelyn and Milo joined back with the rest of the group.
