"No he wasn't." Suhyeok said while glaring at Cheong-san. "I saw him getting bit by my own eyes!" Cheong-san spat as his grip tightened on the metal stand. "Since when do zombies talk like normal humans? Gwi-nam fucking talked to me like a normal human being." Suhyeok explained. Suddenly everyone's attention was diverted towards Chaeyoung who's hands were twitching and sound of bone cracking was heard.
"Suhyeok and Nam-ra, back off." Cheong-san said before lunging towards Chaeyoung but was knocked away by Suhyeok's punch. "There's nothing wrong with her!" Suhyeok yelled as Chaeyoung flinched, her eyes glued at her hand which stopped twitching and was normal now.
"Suhyeok, you are blinded by love." Cheong-san said blankly, earning another punch from Suhyeok. "Get her out of here." Ji-min said in an intimidating way as she walked over to Chaeyoung and pulled her towards the door but was stopped by Nam-ra. "She is not going anywhere, if she was to turn she would've turned by now." Nam-ra stated as Ji-min's grip loosened on Chaeyoung's hand.
Suhyeok pulled Chaeyoung away from Ji-min and walked towards the window as he slide the curtains away. "If she turns, I'll make sure to throw her out." Suhyeok said as a sigh left Chaeyoung's lips, accepting her fate.
"I already lost my parents, now i don't want to loose any of my friends." Ji-min said coldly. "So you don't consider her as your friend?" Nam-ra asked pointing at Chaeyoung. "You would've been dead if wasn't for her, she always stood in front of the group as a shield and you want to just throw her out?" Nam-ra asked as Ji-min just rolled her eyes.
Chaeyoung turned around as she sat on the edge, "Suhyeok... Push me off if i act strange..." Chaeyoung said emotionlessly, Panic rose inside suhyeok as he rushed towards Chaeyoung and held her in place. "It's okay, you'll be fine." Suhyeok assured, gently rubbing the back of her palm.
Everyone was now settled away from Chaeyoung and Suhyeok. Suhyeok just kept staring at the floor. A sudden wave of hunger hit chaeyoung, the only thing was it wasn't a normal hunger... It was a hunger for... human flesh.
Chaeyoung's hands started twitching again as she turned towards Suhyeok.
'I am hungry...'
'Why do you smell so good...'
"Suhyeok." Chaeyoung called out before leaning in... Attempting to bite Suhyeok.
"Suhyeok!" Cheong-san warned as he swunged the metal stand at Chaeyoung but Suhyeok was quick enough to shield her. "Move away!" Cheong-san yelled again as he rushed towards Chaeyoung in order to push her off but Suhyeok held him away.
"I told you to stop!" Suhyeok reminded as he punched Cheong-san in face which made him fall on the tables behind him. "You moron." Cheong-san hissed as he punched him back. Suhyeok and Cheong-san kept throwing punches at each other as On-jo tried to break them off.
Chaeyoung slid down the wall as she felt weak, she started gasping for air when Nam-ra rushed towards her kneeling beside her. "Are you okay?" Nam-ra asked worriedly as she held Chaeyoung close to her. Chaeyoung finally calmed down, "I don't know..." she whispered.
"Are you sure that Gwi-nam was bitten?" On-jo asked Cheong-san making him roll his eyes in annoyance. "Yes. How many times am i supposed to tell you?" Cheong-san said blankly. "Did you see him turn?" On-jo asked as Cheong-san went quiet.
"I am not okay..." Chaeyoung said as she stood back up. "I wanted to bite Suhyeok..." Chaeyoung confessed as everyone turned their heads towards Chaeyoung. "No you did not, it's not true." Suhyeok tried convincing her. "I did, i won't deny it..." Chaeyoung said nonchalantly. "W-what do you mean?" Cheong-san asked. "I had an urge to bite him... That's it." Chaeyoung whispered.
"I don't think i should stay with you guys..." Chaeyoung said while looking at Ji-min who just stared back at her blankly. "Don't fight. I'll leave." Chaeyoung said as she started walking towards the door. "Chaeyoung. Stop." Suhyeok said firmly making Chaeyoung stopped in her track.
Suhyeok walked towards the door and looked around before picking up a red cloth from a corner. Chaeyoung looked at him with confused gaze as he walked towards her and held her hand. "What are you doing?" Chaeyoung asked as Suhyeok started to tie their hands together. "Stop it." Chaeyoung resisted as Suhyeok tightly gripped her her wrist. "Stay still." Suhyeok said coldly as he tightened the cloth around their wrists and held it up.
"You see. Now she can only bite me."
Suhyeok and Chaeyoung sat away from the group. The air around was thick as Suhyeok decided to make a small talk. "Ummm... What did Gwi-nam meant by the 'step sis' back then?" Suhyeok asked curiously. "Uh... We aren't step siblings... My mom and his dad were going to get married next week but i don't think it will be possible..." Chaeyoung said as her mother's zombiefied image crossed her mind causing a tear to roll down her cheeks and fall on Suhyeok's palm. "Ahh... I see..." Suhyeok said as he gently held her hand to comfort her. "What happened to your dad?" Suhyeok asked going deeper in her life. "Well... He is in a better place now..." Chaeyoung said while looking outside at the clear bule sky. "Oh i am sorry..." Suhyeok apologised immediately. "Don't be, he died while serving his country which makes it worth it." Chaeyoung said feeling proud of her dad.
"Well... I guess it's my turn to ask you a question." Chaeyoung said as Suhyeok nodded with a soft smile. "Go on." Suhyeok said as he sat up straight. "Ummm before... you even ignored my existence... Why do you care about me so much out of nowhere?" Chaeyoung asked. "How can you be so sure? That i ignored your existence or never cared about you?" Suhyeok asked making a direct eye contact with her. "Ummm it was obvious..." Chaeyoung said as she stretched her arms. "Darling... I always cared for you..." Suhyeok said as he scooted closer to Chaeyoung.
That 7 letters word was enough to make the butterflies in her stomach go wild and make her cheeks go crimson.
"And... What did Cheong-san meant by 'You are blinded by love'?" Chaeyoung asked as Suhyeok paused for a moment before smiling widely.
"Well... Now isn't THAT obvious enough?"
