"Hi, darling!" Lisa greeted you as you walked through the door.
Her cheerfulness brought a smile to your face, which was much-needed after the day that you had.
"How was your day?" She wondered.
"It was okay." You said as you took off your shoes.
"Good. Come and tell me about it." She said before patting the other cushion, wordlessly telling you to sit down beside her.
You did as she said and sat down next to her.
"Tell me about your day." She said as she turned the tv off, wanting to pay all of her attention to you.
"Well, it was pretty good." You spoke as she reached over, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. "Everything went well. I got a lot done!"
"That's great." She smiled.
"I hung out with my friends during my lunch break which was nice. Oh, by the way, my friends want to know if you'd like to go out with us for a movie this weekend?"
"Sure!" Lisa happily agreed, placing her hand on your thigh.
As you spoke some more, going more into detail about the things that had taken place during the day, Lisa just stared at you.
She kept her eyes on you, even smiling a little as you rambled on about your day.
It made her happy to hear you say that you'd had a good day because, to Lisa, it was all that you deserved; good things.
She stared at you as you continued to ramble on and as you grinned and giggled about a few different things, her smile was as bright as it could be.
She put her hands on her cheeks and stared at you lovingly, her eyes sparkling brightly as she listened to your every word.
Eventually, you noticed how she was just sitting there in silence and saw that she was just staring at you.
"What is it?" You asked with a chuckle. "Why are you just staring at me?"
"Because," She paused as she reached her hand out, brushing her fingers through your hair. "You're beautiful."
You giggled shyly and the sound melted Lisa's heart.
"I mean it. I love the sound of your voice and seeing that bright smile on your face as you speak to me. I like you telling me about your day and hearing all things that happened during it. I just like hearing you talk to me about all the things that you love and make you happy. So come on, keep talking to me."
"Lisa," You chuckled as you set your head on her shoulder.
"You're so cute." She smiled as she wrapped her arms around you, kissing the top of your head.
"I missed you a lot today."
"I missed you too." She said before kissing you softly. "Come on, talk to me some more."
"Okay." You said before setting your head on her shoulder.
And as she continued to listen to your every word, she stared at you and brushed her fingers across your cheek, loving these moments with you.
