Once opened, Jane couldn't stop the current of thoughts that swam through her mind.
Jane followed the boy sneakily, her mouth watering as his delicious scent wafted through the air.
"Why don't you stop following me and show yourself?" he asked suddenly and monotonously.
Chagrined, Jane leapt from the tree in which she had been perched. "I-I'm sorry. I just..." She trailed off, unsure exactly why she had followed the boy willingly into the monster-infested forest.
But one look in his dark brown eyes had Jane wishing she could touch him, kiss him, have him.
"I'm Leo. And you are?"
She swallowed with difficulty, using all her willpower not to drain him right then and there. How Edward dealt with this so easily was a feat she now couldn't believe, as close to this boy as she was.
"J-Jane," she managed, cursing herself for stuttering as he smirked.
"Well, Jane, would you like to see Bunker 9? Jut don't touch anything, it may hurt that pretty face." She crinkled her nose and stuck out her tongue.
Leo chuckled, taking in every inch of her with his eyes. Even in her Volturi robes, she felt very exposed to his searching, hungry eyes.
"Sì, mio cantantesangue." She whispered in Italian. He laughed again, amused.
The sound sent a happy shiver through her stone body. Leo looked at her, concerned, before putting his arm around her shoulders. "You seem cold, and I was right."
But Jane wasn't cold for the first time in a long time.
The stars glittered above them, like twinkling Christmas lights in the night sky.
But Jane was too heartbroken to admire the sight.
Ever since Leo had died, came back, and found Calypso, she hadn't felt like she would have the strength to continue.
Screaming could be heard from the beach, so Jane flitted with surer-speed to figure out what happened.
Calypso and a Hecate boy, Mason, both looked like deer caught in headlights. It was easy to see why. Her hair was a rats nest, both of their lips swollen.
Leo stood above them, fist clenched and hair smoldering.
"Leo, please―" Calypso began, but Leo cut her off.
"No, there is no way to make this seem any better. I kept my promise, which made me die, and I find you cheating on me. Don't even try, we're done."
He then ran away.
Jane didn't use her powers often on campers, but she decided to, just this once. Screams punctured the night air for a second time as Jane glowered at the couple.
When she was satisfied, she took off after her beloved Latino elf.
He sat on the floor of Bunker 9, and the smell of his blood permatrated the air.
Jane knelt next to him, not talking, just cleaning his cuts and letting him cry on her shoulder.
White hot pain and anger wracked her body, taking her breath away.
But as Leo fell asleep with his head in her lap, she was finally content.
Yes, I turned Jane and Leo into a thing. Sue me. Make sure to comment and/or vote. Later, Cupcakes! 🍧
