 Here we go again.

I'm back on this account to start writing again so here is a drabble I wrote a little after I found out about the "nightmare" Phil, Chayanne, and Tallulah had on the QSMP.

Enjoy :]

Only Phil would truly remember how it felt to see both his son and granddaughter crawl towards his own injured self. Little Tallulah, who he later found out had barely begun writing a sign for him before the attack, and his brave boy Chayanne, who tried so hard to help his father back up so Phil could save them.

A stream of apologies came out of Phil as he tried to hold the young eggs in a desperate attempt to shield them from any more harm. A broken sob escaped him as he saw the light fade out of Tallulah's tear filled eyes.

Chayanne held on as tightly as he could to his father as they both lied there together with tears and pain. He was supposed to grow up to become a mighty warrior like Technoblade from his dad's stories. He still had to conquer the world with his dad at his side watching.

Phil felt it when his son's grip became loose. He had no strength left in him to scream out his agony. All he was able to do is stay with the remains of his little ones as his life drained out of his body.

It was a blur of anger and grief as Phil respawned and boated his way back to where the small family died. It seemed as though even one of the local gods had pity on him when he saw a motorboat when he was halfway there.

Phil knew that in this world he had infinite respawns just like all of the other egg parents. The eggs themselves though were limited to just two lives. Tallulah was now on hardcore mode since that was her first life gone. Chayanne on the other hand, he was gone.

He arrived to the shore in which the small body of Chayanne lied in the sand next to all of Phil's and Tallulah's gear. Just a little bit away was a sign that had been placed down where the beginning of "Abuelito" had been written only to end up smudged from the suddenness of the attack. Phil and Tallulah had the mercy of their own bodies dissipating as they respawned leaving their items behind. Chayanne, having been on his last life, would not get that same mercy.

Phil went onto his knees and picked up the small body. He held him close as the tears came flowing back. He swayed a little as though rocking the lifeless child would help ease his pain. It really didn't. The body was too small to be empty of that vibrant and chaotic energy that was once held in it.

Oh, what would he even say to Missa? To Wilbur? I'm sorry but the kids died? Absolutely not.

They had trusted him to be able to take care of the eggs especially since he was the better one at surviving. He had the experience of a Hardcore player yet got knocked down in one hit. He knows they stood no chance but that doesn't stop the guilt and disappointment he felt.

Maybe, just maybe, the gods would be on his side this time. It wasn't as strong as Death's aura was but Phil had felt the constant light press of two of the admins who would follow around to make sure the eggs were taken care of. Surely they could talk with the other gods and admins in their pantheon to reverse this. He knew that Death herself couldn't bring them back but maybe she could convince them.

The sun slowly rose over the horizon casting it's orange glow over the terrain. For some reason, Phil had started feeling more tired than usual. And it wasn't the type of tired he could normally push through. He let the blackness consume his vision as he laid on his side still holding the now dissipating body of his child in his arms.

Then there was the sound of birds singing.

He slowly opened his eyes to notice the grey blankets of the bed he shares with Missa. He sat up and he noticed Chayanne and Tallulah sleeping next to each other in their own beds. A sigh of relief escaped him. His kids were fine. He already had a feeling that if they did remember anything about their deaths, it would be in the form of a nightmare. A nightmare was something he could deal with. He knows what that's like.

If the other parents noticed after that day that Phil made sure to not take the kids anywhere during nighttime or near anywhere he deemed too dangerous, they didn't comment on it. After all, they were well aware of the "nightmare".
