The next day was a typical, lazy Sunday morning. I woke up with Tigger and Pooh lying down beside me. They must've felt my good vibes before going to sleep.
I felt the cool breeze of the morning hit my skin as I opened my window to be mesmerized in the sunrise's beauty.I woke up fairly early. Sunrise's and sunset's are beautiful.
It's wonderful how the gases in the air mix to create the different colors that we see in the sky.
I know what you're thinking. Why am I in such a good mood? Well first because yesterday was my birthday and second I truly know that Ash truly cares about me.
I headed downstairs to cook some breakfast for my parents and maybe bake some treats for Tigger and Pooh. I also wanted to serve my mom and dad their breakfast in bed. Just to thank them for being awesome.
"Morning sport"
"Morning dad."
"Mmmm, I smell some bacon"
"I also cooked some eggs. Dad? Can we serve mom breakfast in bed? Well actually I was going to serve both of you breakfast in bed but you woke up."
"Sure. Thanks for the effort of almost serving me breakfast in bed." He said with a chuckle
I fixed mom a plate with two eggs and two bacon strips and formed them into a smile. I put it on a tray with some coffee.
I went upstairs and Tigger opened the door with Pooh's help. Awesome right.
"Morning mom. Time for breakfast."
My mom got up and rubbed her eyes. She stretched her arms and yawned a good morning.
"Thanks for the breakfast sweetie. What's the occasion?"
"Nothing. Just wanted to thank you for being awesome."
"Aww. Thanks sweetie."
"Enjoy your breakfast." I smiled and left the room.
I headed downstairs. I sat beside my dad and ate breakfast.
"So Ciera. How was your birthday yesterday?"
"It was great dad. I had a lot of fun jumping around. Thanks for letting me party there."
"Glad you enjoyed." He said with a smile.
That conversation with dad got me thinking.
I finished my breakfast and went up to my room.
I pondered on what happened yesterday. The DOT zone is swallowing me.
A lot of questions are going through my mind like "What the what just happened yesterday" "Why did I feel embarrased" "What's happening to me" "What's this weird feeling"
Just before I was swallowed alive, Pooh jumped on me, snapping me out of the DOT zone.
"Thanks for snapping me out Pooh." I smiled while I patted the wagging tail puppy.
But the thoughts of yesterday kept popping into my head. I can't shake the feelings of yesterday off.
I decided to go on facebook just to browse through what's happening and to also keep me occupied.
Ash's POV
Yesterday was great but also a little awkward. I was so close to Ciera's face I could kiss her...but I could also ruin our friendship. I already told her how I really felt and she walked out on me. I'm just lucky that she could accept me.
I decided to message her on facebook. Just to check on how we're doing. Like, is she mad at me or avoiding me or are we cool.
"Hey Ciera. How's it going?"
"Hi Ash. Everything's fine. I woke up with the best feeling in the world."
"What made you so happy?"
"I was thinking about my birthday yesterday."
I blushed at the memory of yesterday. Was she talking about how we almost kissed? Then she replied
"I loved all the jumping and having fun. It was the best birthday ever. Thanks for being apart of my best birthday ever. :)"
"Glad to be of service. Glad I made the love of my life happy"
*facepalm. Why did I just send that? I was only thinking it.
Ciera's POV
What? Did Ash just say love of his life? I felt my heart smile. What he said touched me but what should I reply?
I stepped away from my computer. Not turning it off. I walked around my room thinking 'What should I reply?' It would be so insensitive of me to ignore it and change the topic. It took me a while before I sat down in front of my computer again.
I just stared at his reply. I don't understand why i'm frazzled by his reply. It shouldn't bother me right?
"Thanks." I replied and logged out.
I hope I didn't hurt his feelings by saying that. It just made me feel weird. Something about what he said just.... I don't know.
He may have told me he liked me but I really see him as a friend but...I do have a weird feeling whenever I see him or think of him. A feeling i've never had before.
Ash's POV
I think I freaked her out. It took her a while to reply and all she said was 'thanks' then logged out.
"Great Ash you just freaked out the girl of your dreams!" I practically shouted
"What was that about your dreams honey?" My mom said
I forgot she was beside me folding my clothes. She said how much of a mess it was and then just started folding.
I really have to stop saying or typing my feelings.
"Nothing mom. Just about a good dream I had."
"Oh ok" my mom replied
I left my computer and I asked my mom if I could go the park. She said yes so I left.
At the park there weren't any kids because it was Sunday. I went to my usual thinking place. Inside the curly slide. I climbed up the castle like place and found somebody in my thinking place.
"Oh, sorry. I didn't realize anyone was in here."
"Ash? Is that you?" It was Ciera
"Ciera?"
"Hi." She smiled nervously
"What are you doing here?"
"Well I come here to hide and be alone. Maybe do some thinking."
"Oh me too. What are you thinking about?" I said as I sat beside her. The space was a little small but we could fit.
She was looking at me and when I met her eyes she looked away. A blush forming on her cheeks.
"Uhmm" She seemed embarrassed
"Oh it's ok, you don't have to tell me."
A sigh of relief escaped from her mouth.
"Is it that terrible that you don't want to talk about it?" I said with smile
"Not really. I just don't want to talk about it." She replied with a smile. The cutest smile ever
I smiled and just we just sat here in silence. I really wanted to know though how she felt about my reply a little while ago.
"Uhmm Ciera?"
Her eyes shot up and were now staring at me. "Yes?"
"About our chat just now on facebook." as soon as i started she looked at her shoes. I just love her shyness. "I didn't mean to alarm you. I was just thinking out loud." She nodded still looking at her shoes.
"Listen Ciera." I said while holding her chin up so she'd look at me. I leaned closer to her face "I really really like you."
A blush crept onto her face. It was the most adorable thing. I couldn't resist myself
