Chapter 16: A Wounded Heart

After getting reacquainted, Aula popped the serious question and said "Andrea and Jay how much do you remember?". Jay said, I remember everything from us rebuilding the universe after we fought Agathor a second time, all the way to us having Victoria". Andrea smiled and said "And I remember everything from us defeating training to fight Agathor the first time, to us defeating him and meeting Maya". Aula sighed and said, "looks like he beat us to it...he removed the important chunks of history so they wouldn't remember key things...but at least they'll remember how to use their powers once their minds sync their memories".

Andrea said, "I remember the last 3 days, so you guys don't need to explain...but I will say this; we're going to save you, sweetie, even if I have to go kill that son of a bitch myself". Jay smiled and said "Same here, I won't let anyone take you away from us". Aula said, "We'll meet outside in an hour to go ahead and attempt to save Victoria". Andrea said "No let's do it now...look at her, it's covering her arms" and Aula said, "I'm sorry, but if we do this right now without you two in complete control, you'll become overwhelmed and your powers will kill you or worse, it could destroy this whole planet".

Andrea sighed and said, "We'll be back in one hour, just try to keep her together". Victoria smiled and said, "Mom it's not as bad as it looks, I still have control over my mind and I'll be fine as long as I meditate". Andrea nodded as her and Jay headed upstairs to her room where she flopped onto the bed and let out a large scream. Jay rubbed her back and said "A penny for your thoughts sweetie?" and she popped her head up and said, "It's just not fair that my I'm just now seeing her and already me and your lives have put her in danger". Jay continued rubbing her back and said "I know but she's strong enough to handle it...under normal circumstances".

Jay leaned down and said "All we can do is try to save her, fix this time mess, and then find a solution to this later...but I need you to be strong, I know it hurts but as long as we're together, there's nothing we can't overcome". Andrea sat up and pulled him into a kiss which lasted for a few minutes before she pulled away with a smile and said "I'm glad I married you, you always know what to say". He smiled and said "you always help me stay on track and find the words to say...I wouldn't be the man I am had you not helped me". Andrea and Jay lay on the bed in each other's arms waiting, enjoying each other's warmth and preparing to do all they could to save their daughter. 

Thirty minutes later, Andrea and Jay headed back downstairs and went out to the backyard where everyone was waiting. Aula said "Right on time, now let's begin immediately" before she turned to Andrea and said "You're a natural filter but Jay enhances that ability, so I want you and Jay both to focus on the corruption in her heart and cleanse it and whatever else is left will be sent to me and then I'll filter it with Carlos and send the harmonic energy into her until we can destroy the corruption completely". Aula said, "alright let's form the circuit; Andrea and jay stand in front of Victoria,  and Carlos, you stand to the left of Andrea and jay and face Victoria".

Aula stood next to Carlos and said "Alright Victoria, focus on all the built-up chaotic energy and fire it at Andrea and Jay, dont worry, as long as they're linked, they won't be corrupted". Aula turned to Andrea and said, "When you two get it, focus on nothing but positive energy and shunt it over to Carlos and me and we'll harmonize it and send it back to her". Aula watched as the streaks nearly covered all of Victoria's body before she said "Alright Victoria, release it". Victoria did as instructed which sent a beam of black energy towards her parents. Just before it reached them, a third eye made of harmonic energy appeared on their foreheads and a shield surrounded them. As Andrea and Jay absorbed the energy, they both thought harmonized most of it and sent it to Aula and Carlos who sent it back to Victoria.

This continued for a few minutes until something began to go horribly wrong; the chaotic power from Victoria was increasing exponentially. Aula said, "Andrea and Jay, keep doing what you're doing but relax a little and let some of the chaos escape to us or you'll burn out your powers". Andrea said "alright and loosened up and Carlos increased the intensity of power he was sending but it wasn't working...the chaos was getting stronger. The power continued growing until they were all blown a few feet by a large explosion but no one was severely hurt.

When the dust settled, Carlos was heard yelling no, no no" and as the dust completely settled, Andrea and Jay could now see what he was yelling at and the sight shook them to the core. What stood before them was no longer Victoria...she was fully transformed as her eyes were now glowing red and her entire body including her skin had turned black as if she were a demon. Aula said "Stay away from her" but Andrea charged towards her daughter with tears in her eyes but Victoria stood there and fire at her but Jay tackled her and the beam missed.

Victoria laughed evilly before saying "I'd love to stay and chat but Master needs me to help him destroy the rest of your pathetic world...but don't worry, I'll be sure to come back and destroy you all as soon as I have time...see ya". Victoria opened a portal and disappeared as Andrea screamed "No my baby!" at the top of her lungs in pure agony, before bursting into tears. Her own child whom she only knew for a few days was now taken from her by an enemy and there wasn't a damn thing she could do about it.
