The Real Ladybug: A Miraculous Fanfiction

Chapter 1

(I wrote this a few years ago, so I know it's really bad)

~ Marinettes POV ~

It is a sunny Monday and I am walking to school. I hear my phone vibrate. I guess it's Alya messaging me. And indeed, when I grab it out of my bag, I see a message from my best friend. I open it and start reading.

- Hey girl! Have you heard yet? There's going to be a new girl in the class! It would be nice if you weren't late for once, because then you won't miss the introduction. XOXO Alya -

I'm watching the time. Three minutes to go. I can manage that. I start running.

I sit down next to Alya. "What a miracle!" she exclaims. I smile. Mrs. Bustier walks into the classroom. 'Good morning class,' she says. 'Today you will be joined by a new classmate. Come on in!" The door opens and a girl enters with short, dark blue hair and blue eyes. She looks quite a lot like me. The girl goes to stand in front of the class. "Hi everyone!" she says cheerfully. 'I'm Mari. I'm 14 years old and I love helping people. I am also Ladybug. I decided to reveal my identity.' My mouth falls open. I hear everyone around me cheering, but I am speechless. What a liar that Mari is!

During recess, I sit and watch as everyone stands around Mari, all telling lies. Tikki sticks her little head out of the bag. "What is it Marinette?" she asks. I sigh. 'The new girl, Mari, is pretending to be Ladybug. She's lying her butt off!' 'Marinette, think of it as something positive. This way they'll never find out you're Ladybug!' I nod, "You're right." Then I notice Adrien coming toward me. 'Hide, Tikki!" I hiss. The kwami obeys her and goes into her bag. I smile at the boy. 'Hi Adrien.' 'Hi Marinette. Don't you believe Mari too?' I shake my head. 'It's just suspicious. Ladybug would never decide to reveal her identity. Too big risk.' Adrien looks at me in surprise, because he knows those words from somewhere. Then he nods. 'Should we do something about it?' I ask. Adrien shakes his head. 'There is no need. You and I know the truth. And that's enough, right? And lies don't hurt anyone.' 'Yes, indeed,' I say.

A few days later, Alya is interviewing Mari for the Ladyblog. And very soon all of Paris knows that Mari is Ladybug. Only Adrien and Marinette know she's lying. Marinette because she is Ladybug herself and Adrien because he knows Ladybug too well.
