Three days have passed and Inuyasha has yet to return to the village. Kagome stopped by every now and then to drop off snacks and medical supplies before going back home to take makeup tests.

Shippo was eating a lollipop Kagome brought, never once leaving Kagami's side unless absolutely necessary. "You don't think something bad has happened to Inuyasha right?" he asked.

Sango frowned worryingly as she mindlessly rubbed Kirara's belly. "Should we go look for him?"

"No, I trust that he'll come back on his own. Inuyasha is strong, he can handle himself." Miroku said, trying to ease the two. "He must have had a reason for leaving."

Shippo's tail drooped as he looked down at his unconscious friend. "Yeah, but Kagami still hasn't woken up. I'm really worried."

"I know Shippo. We all are, but the only thing we can do now is wait for her recovery." Miroku tried to reassure him.

"But what if she gets worse?"

The monk sighed as he was about to say something else however when another presence entered the room he stopped and turned. The trio's eyes widened once they recognized who it was.

"Inuyasha, you're back!"

The half-demon didn't respond at first as his gaze immediately landed on Kagami who was still unconscious. "How is she?"

"Kagami hasn't woken up yet but she's doing better," Sango informed.

"Kagome went back through the well but she brought some of her ninja tools to help with her fever," Shippo added.

Inuyasha nodded as he dropped the bag of herbs and demon parts onto the floor. Miroku, Sango, and Shippo gathered around the bag as they started inspecting the contents. "What's all that you got there?"

"Ingredients." He said as he kneeled down, picking out certain items. Once his hands were full, the half-demon got up, already heading out of the hut.

"You're leaving again?" Shippo asked curiously.

Inuyasha nodded. "I'll be back in a bit." He said as he left.

Shippo frowned as he started to follow suit until Miroku stopped him. "Leave him be. My guess is he has something that will help Kagami." The little fox wanted to protest but ultimately decided to wait and trust Inuyasha. The three of them once again waited for his return.

The sun was setting now as it filled the sky with its bright yellow-to-orange hues. Sango sat by the entrance, watching as the sun disappeared over the village. She let out a small curious hum as she watched Miroku walk past her, now standing outside.

"Where are you going Miroku?"

The monk gave her a small smile as he beckoned for her to follow suit. "For some fresh air. Would you two like to accompany me?" Sango and Shippo shared confused looks before deciding to follow along.

The trio were chilling beside the Bone-Eater's well as they engrossed themselves in conversation. "Miroku, are you sure we should be leaving Kagami alone like this?" Sango asked with a worried frown.

"Inuyasha has returned. Kagami will be fine as long as he's with her." Miroku said. "Besides, I'm sure he wants to spend time alone with her."
