"I CAN'T REMEMBER, the last time the three of us went drinking together! It's going to be SO good!" Josie, Estella's good friend and work colleague— shouted from across the room. Their other companion, Beth cheered whilst finishing her makeup. Estella laughed at her friends, Josie had a point. All three girls worked at the local hospital as Registered Nurses and the unsociable hours and mix of shifts meant that they rarely got to socialise outside of work— so they planned to take full advantage.
"Here, El," Josie handed her friend a 'cocktail' of her own making, "This will really get you in the party mood."
Estella took a sip, not trusting her friends measurements, "Jesus Josie!' She exclaimed as she almost gagged, "What the hell is in this?"
"I call it the Devils Juice. Full of impending sin."
All three girls cracked up laughing, Josie used to be a bar tender whilst studying to be a nurse but Estella was sure she had forgotten a thing or two.
"So," Beth joined the girls, "I spoke to that promoter guy Ryan and he said he would be able to get us into LUX."
Josie high-fived her friend, Estella on the other hand, was confused.
"What the hell is LUX?"

"Okay, I get your point. It's pretty cool in here." Estella shouted to her friends over the music.
"Right? I told you!" Beth smirked in triumph. Given the choice Estella probably would choose a quieter bar over a club any day, but she also didn't mind a more wilder night every now and then.
She wore a black satin mini dress with a plunging neckline which seemed to fit the vibe of the club— Estella wasn't completely secure in herself and her body, but she knew how to dress to make it seem like the opposite.
The three girls made their way to the bar and Josie ordered the first round of drinks, plus a shot for good measure.
"You're trying to kill us!" Beth exclaimed, earning a laugh from her friends— but she downed the shot nevertheless. Estella chuckled and downed her own, thankful for the night and her friends.
"Ok, let's dance!" Josie exclaimed, grabbing her friends hands and pulling them to the dance floor. There were people everywhere, bodies glued to eachother. Estella couldn't believe the atmosphere of the place, it almost screamed sin and debauchery— and somehow, she didn't mind it.
The three danced for a while, Josie had found herself a little boy toy to grind on which made the other two chuckle— their friend was a free spirit and they loved that about her.
Beth had a guy come and join her and Estella couldn't help but laugh, of all three of them— Beth was the shyest when it came to being around the opposite sex so seeing her have some confidence was nice to see. When she gave Estella the nod that she was okay, Ella motioned to the bar as quite frankly— she was tired from the dancing and wanted to retire to a stool for a while.
Ordering herself martini, she went to pay the bartender but a voice stopped her, "It's on me."
The bartenders eyes widened slowly, "Yes Mr. Morningstar."
Estella turned to her side to see who the mysterious buyer was and had to refrain from gawking, the literal definition of tall, dark and handsome was sat on the stool next to her— in a suit that was probably worth more than her paycheck.
"Uh," she started, "Thank you." He grinned at her in return and she swore she could see a glimpse of the devil in his eyes.
"No problem, love." He leant closer to her, "Dare I say, you are ravishing."
Estella chuckled nervously, taken back by his forwardness and his sudden close proximity to her. She tucked her hair behind her ear and attempted to compose herself.
"Thank you," she cleared her throat, "So what was that with the bartender? Do you come here a lot? Have a tab or something?" She tried to deflect from his flattering compliment.
He chuckled, "Not quite, darling. I own the place. It's mine." He eyed her up and down and she swear she felt her knees go weak.
"Oh." She paused, why the hell is the owner of the club wasting his time with her? She thought. There was plenty of women in the place. She was certain half of them were models, "Nice club."
"Nice legs." The handsome stranger quipped, "Sorry was that too forward?" Before Estella could even reply he spoke again, "What I meant to say was would you be so kind as to wrap your legs around my n-"
"Ok, stop." Estella interjected, "I'm not going to sleep with you. So thank you for the drink, and I think I'll be going." She hopped off the stool and went to find her friends but his hand wrapped around her wrist and pulled her close to him.
"Oh come on, love. What's with the hostility? Tell me... what is it you truly desire?"
She took note of his intense stare, she wondered if this worked on other woman? Did they tell him their deepest darkest secrets? Who was this man?
"Hmm.. what do I desire?" She paused and the stranger grinned, obviously thinking this was working, "How about personal space?" She pushed him away from her and rolled her eyes, "Really? Does that work?"
The stranger looked flabbergasted, "Well, yes. Actually it does!" He looked at her incredulously, "What's your name?"
Estella laughed at his confused state, not understanding why he was so insulted— she decided to tell him her name, she will probably never see him again anyway.
"Estella." She told him, "Yours?"
"Lucifer Morningstar."
She laughed, "like the devil?"
He nodded, almost proudly, "I am just that. The devil." The glint in his eye almost made her want to believe him.
"Trust me Lucifer, I've been to Hell and you weren't there." And with that. She was gone.
