I shot up in a cold sweat "i-it was just a nightmare?" I mumbled, I looked around my room heart pounding against my chest, it was very dark and I couldn't make out any figures of anything, my breathing very heavy and unsteady. I managed to calm myself down but I couldn't go back to sleep so I just layed down in my bed until I passed out because that normally happened but not tonight. I layed there wondering what just happened, I was scared because yes I've experienced some paranormal things and had nightmare similar to that but I guess it was the fact I was luicid dreaming that threw me off.

A couple hours went by and my mom knocked on my door to wake me up. Begrudgingly I got up out of bed I got dressed.
After I got dressed I grabbed my shoes and bag and put them by the couch that way I wouldn't have to spend forever looking for them. I grabbed my phone and went into my room because I had a decent amount of time to kill

Then 7:24am hit and so I started getting ready to head out. I put on my shoes and threw on my bag and my mom followed me and my brother because she walks my brother to the bus stop to make sure he doesn't break himself.
I was going to take my usual route but it felt like I shouldn't. So I took a different route, there's several routes to get from where I am to the school so I simply took a different route.
And thank the gods I did, because when I got to school I got a news notification and there was a horrible car crash on one of the roads I commonly cross. So there was a chance I could've gotten hit, I'm glad I listened to my gut. And apparently my friends saw my face get scared for a second.

"Hey are you okay?" A girl with messy faded magenta hair asked snapping me back to reality.

"Oh hey Leah, yeah I'm fine it's just I could've gotten hit on the way to school today." I responded.

"Wait what happened!?" A boy with ashy brown hair and a lemon hair pin asked concerned.

"Leah, Jake give her a little space she's probably still shaken up about the whole thing!" A girl with light blonde hair stated.

"It's fine Lilly, anyways what happened was there was a horrible car crash on one of the streets I commonly cross but thankfully I took a different route today." I answered

Everybody kinda froze and didn't know what to say or ask other than 'that's horrible'. Which is understandable I mean if I were in that situation as well I'd be speechless as well.
Breakfast opened up and I went to go get breakfast today was the school's breakfast bread I got chocolate and I ate it pretty quickly.
I checked the time and it was 8:09 am.

'Time to head to class, I don't wanna' I thought to myself and got up to head to my first hour.
