The sun rose and I was lost. Exactly what I meant to do. Thought I was just getting some fresh air or something? There's a reason I had my bow and arrows and a bag packed. I left my phone at home so they couldn't track me. I wondered how long it was going to take for them to notice me gone. My mom never came into my room when she was home and she never cares how long I'm gone. I didn't know where I was all I knew was that I was in a forest and there was a road I could see. I climbed a tree and sat on a branch to rest. I looked at what I had in my bag. Pocketknife, water, food, I had my jacket on, flashlight, money, and sting and rope. I only had a single drop of water so I could save it. I then closed my bag and hung it on a branch with my bow. I sighed and leaned against the tree trunk. Something hit my head and I looked up at a squirrel eating acorns. I smiled and it looked down at me. It climbed down the trunk and to a branch next to me head. I would always collect acorns when I was younger. I never took them out of my bag. I took one out and put it in the palm of my hand holding it up to the squirrel. I sniffed it then quickly took it. I giggled and watched it.

Soon after walking for another hour, I stood at the end of the forest. I looked back and took a deep breath before I walked across the street. I walked into a gas station and looked around for something small and cheap to eat. I put a kitkat on the counter and the boy looked at me confused.
"What I can't go and buy a kitkat bar?" I asked.
"Sorry it's just that you look young enough to be in school right now."
"I graduated last year." I lied.
"Ok." He said a little unsure. I then walked out of the store and ran before that guy could look out and see that I didn't get into a car or anything. Going into another store buying a pencil and some paper. Walking to the closest library I went over to a desk and started to write. And write and write and write.

Hours later someone tapped on my shoulder.
"Miss, we are closing now." A lady said. I nodded gather my things. I walked out and ran back into the forest in the night. One night down. The rest of my life to go.
