*Haley's POV*

Haley looked up across the impowering waves as they drifted underneath her boat. She couldn't help but be annoyed that the most prestige college in the world was only able to get to by water. The thought of being out in the environment annoyed her when there was barely a benefit for it unless to research. She sighed for a second a reminded herself that her mother had organised it and the chances were that she probably wasn't even going to it. Summer camp made the most sense and even without asking her mother she knew that. Her mother had organised this so she had suspected that it wasn't what she hoped.

Haley sighed again and looked ahead to see a visible island up ahead appearing in the distance. A dock was visible at the front which clearly did not belong to a prestige school. Finally her boat arrived and she looked ahead to see a group of kids up ahead. Her seeing blurred for a bit and she rubbed her hand over her eye to move her contact back into place. She didn't want anyone to know she secretly wore glasses and had bright red eyes that she kept secret. The colour of eyes were not normal and she also didn't want anyone to know she wore glasses. She had been bullied enough as a kid to know the consequences and having her eye colour could scare others.

When her boat arrived at the dock she looked over to see 22 kids standing on the dock. A couple that Haley saw that were the most unique was a girl with short blue and black hair, a long black haired girl with a short red top and green shorts, a boy who most girls were fawning over which still had no appeal to her, a bad boy with a mullet and finally a brown haired girl with long pants and a grey and white shirt.

"And this is Haley!" A man, who seemed to be a host from what Hailey predicted shouted out to the kids.

"I am guessing this is a summer camp? By the way your talking... your hosting a show, correct?" Hailey asked the man.

"Yes, I am Chris Mclean and I am a host but before we explain anything more we have one more contestant" Chris told her. He began to point to a boat along the horizon coming to the shore. He had black hair just as short as his ears and bright blue eyes. He frowned when he noticed his surroundings but made nothing of it.

"Finally this is Oscar" Chris announced to the 23 kids. Hailey studied him trying to get to know his personality by his looks. Hailey has spent part her life trying to understand a normal person as most the time she didn't feel like one. He wore a brown jacket and a white shirt. He also wore long jeans and easy to walk in shoes. The way he dressed was casual but Hailey couldn't seem to understand him through his outfit. He was mysterious.

"Hello, I am Oscar. I like logic and math and am a down to earth kind of person" He said while gleaming his white teeth. A few girls took notice of him but were still drawn to a brown haired dude which later Hailey knew his name was Justin.

"First things first, we need a group photo for the Promo's. Everyone at the end of the dock" Chris called. Everyone followed him, only half with smiles on their faces. Chris jumped onto the boat as he got out his camera.

"Okay, 1..2..3" He called out to them. His camera clicked.

"Oops, I forgot the lense cap", he fidgited with the camera and told everyone to hold there pose. He tried again but Hailey zoned out after he tried a couple times. Come on already she thought to herself.

"Come on man, my face is starting to freeze" One of the campers shouted to him. He told them all to say a word which Hailey repeated with no enthusiasm. The bridge started to break which everyone easily heard. No one had time to react so when  the photo was finally taken everyone was in the water, or almost everyone. Hailey had gripped onto the side and was hanging on the ledge. She saw someone loom over to her and Hailey looked up to see Oscar.

"Need a hand?" He asked her. She nodded and he pulled her up. They gazed at each other for a moment but she quickly turned her head away.

"Nice move gripping onto the side, I did the same but I had enough to pull myself up" Oscar told her.

"Thanks, I guess..." Hailey replied. What game is he playing? She wondered in her mind. Maybe he is nice? But most people just want to win the game. Surely he is just trying to make a alliance she told herself. She backed away and walked off and he did the same. They weren't going to be friends this game..... or were they?.....
