chapter 1: hallucinations

“I.. It's f-fine..” you stared up at the dirty blond male Infront of you,he wore a sage green hoodie and his hood was up.He had dirty blond hair that kind of covered his right eye and emerald green eyes and faint freckles scattered his face,under his hoodie you could see a black turtle neck shirt,behind him was a bow and arrows that was strapped onto him.

How did he even get that here without getting arrested he thought.

“are you alright..?” the stranger offered a hand over to you and you took it,you placed your s/c* over his kind of tanned ones as he pulled you up.

He was taller then you you thought as you were just above his shoulders.“yeah..im...fine” This man gave you deja Vu, something about him felt off.

The man bent down to grab the mask that fell on the floor,he stood up and you could see the mask clearly.As it was now in full view,you could see a few cracks here and there,the white plastic was turning gray and specks of dirt littered across it.It was a simple smile nothing else,but it was kinda nerve wracking.

“well that's good,I'm dream by the way.” The man clipped his mask on then offered a hand to shake once again.“Im Y/n..” you were kind of wary about this guy,he gave you red flag signals but his presence was kind of... comforting in some way?

You took his hand and you both shook hands.

“it was nice meeting you,y/n but I have to go now.And sorry about the bump..heh..” The male scratched the back of his neck and proceeded to walk off somewhere.

You waved goodbye,the weird meeting left you unerve somehow.But nevertheless,you went over to your brother who was almost finished with his drink.

“soo,how was he?” the boy wiggled his eyebrows at you,you deadpan at that.“I don't like him,bear.As a matter of fact,I find him weird.” You dryly chuckled as you began drinking your almost forgotten drink as you both continued exploring the mall.

“yeahhh,okay~” He sipped his drink with a smirk not believing your answer.You just sighed mentally as you both explored an hour more.

You and him left the mall with bags in your hands—mainly toys or junkfoods and some stuff you need for the house—And went back to the parking lot.

You hauled all the bags in the trunk before telling your brother to buckle up and went over to the driver seat.You drove over to McDonald's to get something to eat.

“what do you want,bear?” You asked whilst nearing the fastfood restaurant.You could see at the rearview mirror that he was thinking,he finally looked at you and voiced out his choice.“Ehh a burger and fries!and a kiddie meal too!” You looked at him through the rearview mirror with a wtf-face.

“ya sure you can finish all that?” you raised your eyebrow at him then going back to the road.“yeAh!I'm a big boy now I told you!” He crossed his arms looking away whilst blowing a raspberry at you.

You chuckled as you pulled through the drive thru.You told them your order—Two double cheeseburgers,a small french fries,chicken nuggets,two cokes and a happy meal—then went to the window.

You grabbed your order from them and payed.You could feel your brother shine from the food Infront of him,you sweat drop as he started eating like it was his last meal.“dude slow down you'll choke.” too late,he already started choking.

“damnit bear!Drink the coke drink the coke!!” you looked at him worriedly through the rearview mirror.He drank the coke luckily and stopped choking.“told ya you gremlin.” you smirked at him and he blew a raspberry.

You signaled him to give you the chicken nuggets as he handed them to you.You ate them whilst focusing on the road.

You both got home and parked the car in the garage.You took the bags from the trunk and he carried the food.You walked through the door that connects the house and garage,it was already dark out so you and him planned a movie night.

After getting the food and movie ready,you got yourselves comfortable on the couch in the living room.You decided to watch an adventure movie called 'jumanji',it was a really interesting movie you thought.

After that you both were tired and went off to sleep after cleaning the living room table and putting away the uneaten food.

You went up to your room as he went to his.You opened the door to your room and turned on the light,you got your laptop from your desk and decided to check if one of your favorite streamers were live.Luckily for you the dream smp members were live and was streaming from the smp.

You pressed on Wilbur's stream as you liked his perspective more—I ain't biased—and was immediately greeted with a greeting from him.

The smp was currently holding an election,and you were invested in it.

A few hours of watching made you tired but still fought through sleep.

But unfortunately the stream ended,you were sad,the dream smp gave you the happiness you needed—besides your brother—every character there was special to you,heck,even the ones controlling the characters meant something to you.They bring you comfort and warmth,they distracted you from overthinking about stuff through being themselves.

You wished you were there.

But it was all dreams,the dream smp wasn't a reality,it was just a roleplay some green goblin created—although said green goblin had a nice roleplayer—It will never exist.

The characters aren't three-dimensional only pixels and blocks in a game.. nothing more.

Or was it.

You decided you would sleep early today for the trip to the mall took a toll on you.You closed your laptop and played on your bed,it was warm and soft,it almost made you fall asleep instantly.

You covered yourself with your blanket and closed your eyes,your consciousness slipping.

You yawned and fell asleep.

But not after hearing a sentence from a distant and disoriented voice.
