MY COUNCIL (Student Government Series #1)

PROLOGUE

"What in the actual fuck?" Napamura ako sa inis matapos ko marinig ang sinabi sa akin ng Secretary ko.


"I'm really sorry Mira, I swear ginawa ko na lahat para mapapayag si Mr. Lagreso sa proposal project mo pero ayaw niya talaga pumayag" She explained


Napa-buntong hininga ako at pinipigilan ko inis ko, wala ni isa sa dalawang taong termino ko as President ang may nag-reject ng project ko, but this Mr. Lagreso is getting on my nerves right now! Sino ba siya ha? New teacher probably, whoever he is I am starting to hate him!


"Pfftt, does it matter? Pwede naman natin yan ideretso sa Principal without his sign" pabidang sinabi ni Mark, ang P.I.O ng batch namin.


"Tanga ka ba? Siya ang co-head ng faculty club, pag di niya ito pinirmahan di natin ito pwede ideretso sa principal!" Galit na pagkasabi ko.


Tangina naman kase, kakatapos lang ng class ko and instead na magpahinga na ako dito sa office ko ito pa bubungad. Dahil di na natiis ng galit ko kinuha ko ang proposal letter na hawak ni Lea at lumabas ng office, sumunod naman si Lea.


"OMG is that Almira Olivaria, the President of Student Council?"

"Hala! Oo nga siya nga, ang ganda niya pala talaga"

"I heard na siya ang standard ng mga lalaki ngayon"

"Kainggit naman, I wish I could be like her!"

"Pakasalan mo ako Mira!"

"She looks mad, geez sino kaya gumalit sa dakilang Mira"


Kahit pa maglakad ako ng mabilis sa hallway, naririnig ko parin mga bulungan ng students sa akin but who gives a fuck, sanay na akong ganiyan.


"Mira, masama kutob ko sa gagawin mo" pag-aalalang sabi ni Lea, she is trying to catch up on me dahil sa bilis kong maglakad. Di ko na lang siya pinansin dahil sa inis ko at nagpatuloy sa paglalakad hanggang sa makarating ako sa office ng Mr. Lagreso na yon.


Hindi na ako kumatok sa gigil at binuksan ko na lamang ang pinto niya, luckily that man is still there sitting on his chair.


"Di ka ba tinuruan kumatok? Who are you and what do you need?" He said, mukhang bago nga lang siya.


"Who am I? Well i'm Almira Mae Olivaria, the incumbent President of Student Council ng University na ito and I want to ask why did you reject my proposal project?" I said proudly


"Oh you mean the concert project? Come on Ms. Olivaria wala man lang uniqueness ang project mo, a concert? Seriously? Anong makukuhang education diyan?" I JUST CANNOT, HIS WORDS ARE GETTING ON MY NERVES.


"Lea...labas" I whispered calmly


"M-Mira?" 


"Sabi ko...labas" lumabas siya after magbago ng boses ko at sinara ko ang pinto at ni-lock.


"Why did you lock it Ms. Olivaria? Alam ko na itong mga modus niyo, you'll seduce me with your body and would blackmail me, hindi na gagana sa akin yan" He proudly said. Seconds later ay biglang tumunog ang phone ko at inilabas iyon.


"Remember Lea? Well you think Secretary ko lang siya? No sir, and I just received something from her na pwedeng sumira ng career mo" I threathenly said


"Don't make me laugh Ms. Olivaria, we've just met earlier" He chuckles


"Well..." I showed her the screen of my phone


"Do you think I'm just a simple person Sir?" Nagulat siya sa ipinakita kong mga pictures


"S-san, p-pano mo nakuha yan?!" Napatayo siya sa upuan niya


"Oh these pics? Do you think wala akong connection sa previous school na pinag ta-trabahuhan mo Mr. Lagreso? I know the reason bakit ka nandito, you've been accepting bribes from the students kapalit ng grades on your previous high school and I asked someone to take a photo of you dahil alam ko lilipat ka dito and you'll be a big problem on my way, I am just waiting for this right time" I said while smiling, nakita ko sa mukha niya ang kaba at halos wala na siyang masabi


"P-Please Ms. Olivaria, nakikiusap ako wag mo ipakalat! Lumipat ako dahil-"


"Dahil alam mo na ang University na ito ay maraming mayayaman, at siyempre dahil mas maraming mayaman mas madami kang matatanggap na suhol, that's the reason why you also rejected my project right?" I laughed softly pagkatapos ko makita ang takot sa mukha niya


"Oh of course Mr. Lagreso, i'm a woman with mercy, there is just one way out of here... it is either you sign my project or your career would end in a second" 


Dali-dali niyang kinuha ang proposal letter at pinirmahan ito.


"T-There! Happy now?" Tanong niya habang nag-aalala


"Pleasured" Ngiting sabi ko at sabay labas sa office niya


"So? How is it?" Tanong ni Lea


Pinakita ko sa kaniya ang papel at napayakap siya sa tuwa, she is not only my Secretary nor my secret agent, she is also my best friend


"Come to think of it Mira, how did you planned all of this to happen?" She asked


"Well, I used what I've got, talino" I whispered


Sabay kaming bumalik sa office ko and nakita kong nakaupo sa lamesa ang boyfriend ko...Cedrick, the Vice President. Bad-boy ng school at malakas ang impluwensiya. Aaminin ko, hindi siya matalino at walang alam sa pamumuno, He only sky-rocketted into the position of Vice President dahil sa akin but who cares, He is handsome asf. His family is also known for having a motorcar company.


You're probably wondering kung bakit siya nag bother maging Vice President, well dahil kakaiba ang kapangyarihan ng student government sa Catbriar University unlike other schools, halos kapantay na ng karapatan ng teachers ang student government dito. So power is all he wanted and that's what I gave to my man


"Haha Hi babe, I heard what happened" Bumaba siya sa lamesa ko at pumunta sa akin sabay yakap


"Did you teach that man a lesson?" He asked while smiling


"I sure did" I proudly said


"Good, now the reason i'm here is that...can I borrow your car? Dad locked my car away from me after I hit someone" pag-eexplain niya, pfftt I know naman na lasing ka that time kaya ganon nangyari


"For what?" I asked


"My friends and I are going on a club, ya know boy's night out? Ayoko naman ako lang walang kotse sa kanila that would be fucking embarassing" He chuckled


"Boys Night Out? I thought you'll take me to dinner later?" 


"Oh... Oo nga pala, let's cancel that for awhile, minsan lang din naman ito babe ih" He explained while holding my hands


"Pfftt minsan lang, minsan lang pala yung 50 times" Lea whispered


"Shut up bitch, I heard that!" He yelled


"Osya sige na sige na, I just wanna rest" Binigay ko sa kaniya ang susi ng kotse ko at bumuntong-hininga na lang


"Thanks babe" sabi niya sabay yakap


"Sige na, enjoy your night" I said


Lumabas agad siya ng office na parang wala lang, but it doesn't matter gusto ko na lang umupo sa upuan ko at huminga ng malalim. 


"Oo nga pala Mira, this just came in recently, darating na ulit ang National Quiz Bee Competition and as usual ikaw ang representative ng school natin" Lea informed me


"Haist, wala na bang bago diyan? Fine fine I'll go" Sabi ko na parang wala lang sa akin, I've been representing this university ever since malipat ako dito at lagi nag c-champion ang Catbriar University dahil sa akin especially dito sa National Quiz Bee Competition.


"Also, there is this person of interest na sasali sa competition" dagdag niya


"Hm? who?" I curiously asked


"I don't know, but I heard his name is Clark"
