I put my left hand onto his left shoulder to make sure he stayed there. He was already paralyzed, though, after I decided to caress his back a little. I was close enough to feel the warmth of his body... and it almost felt like an invitation. His hair smelled like lavender... it was a pretty popular herb in the Palace of Shreddenwood. I didn't know I liked lavender this much until that very moment.
Something told me to get closer and closer to him... something told me that he was grateful for my touch – even if he rather seemed to be in panic on the outside. But he stayed there and was watching me caressing his back without blinking an eye.
I wasn't sure how much time passed by... but then I realized something. While I was some steps away from him, my clairvoyance was like constant ringing in my head... but after I was that close to him... after I could lean my head over to his back...
- What is it, Winnie? – he noticed the change in my expression too.
- Silence – I said, full in surprise.
- You mean... you don't hear any voices now? – he asked.
- Now that I have a moment of silence... I realized how loud everything was until now – I said. I felt confused. Did I always hear voices? What were the voices anyways? Maybe it was just my instincts, being louder than normal people's. Well, wasn't this kinda the definition of clairvoyance? I was so confused... yet I felt so relaxed.
- Young master...
- Call me by my name – he said suddenly. I wondered if his neck hurt already from watching me without a break.
- Can I even do that? – I grinned.
- There is no rule against calling me by my name only. But no one ever does – he told me. I laughed.
- Then it's a fitting role for me to do so... but, there are truly no rules against it? – I looked at him curiously.
- You didn't read the rule book, did you?
- I like long books... but that one was definitely not read by me – I laughed. So, that meant that everyone was respecting the young masters so much that they kept addressing them with their title too. He may have been annoyed by this fact... and who else could call him like that if not his supporter?
- What do you expect from me, though? – I asked curiously. – I mean... you're stuck with me then. For like a year...
- I don't expect anything from you – he even smiled a little. This might have been true... but maybe I expected something from myself.
- Then I ask differently. What would you want from me? – the young master seemed troubled for some moments. – Come on, I suppose I kinda get it, I'm a clairvoyant, you know. But it'd be nice to hear from you too. So... youn... uhh, sorry. Give me some time to get used to this. Deán. What would you want from me?
- Everything – he was so quiet I almost missed his answer. I gently squeezed his shoulder... even this little of physical contact seemed to take him to the edge.
- Well, I'm not sure about that everything, but I know what I can give right here, right now – I grinned mischievously. – Turn to me.
- Winnie... - he sounded uncertain, but he did as I asked. – I know that you expected Tyler, he told us yesterday that if you stayed, he'd ask for you... and I was thinking about talking with my brother about you, but he was really busy...
- Your brother? – I could understand his concern about Ty, but why in the world was young master Rhenon in this conversation, it was beyond my imagination.
