- You need to eat something – Deán told me nervously as he handed the tray to me. I almost threw up.
- Yeah, yeah – I nodded but I wasn't ready for this. And this made Deán nervous on the maximum level... he had never seen me refusing food. And I was surprised too, to be honest. I never really refused anything to eat before, only if I really hated it. But those little sandwiches with all kind of stuff looked pretty okay. I just... couldn't force it down on my throat.
- Can't – I shook my head eventually.
- All right. I won't force it... but we'll try it a little later too, okay? – he asked and I nodded. He was eating his dinner when I woke up again. I felt like I slept a thousand hours... my head still hurt but mainly it was because of the big hump on my forehead.
- I'm sorry for messing up your day – I sighed.
- Don't feel sorry about anything, it's not your fault.
- Were you here all the time? – I asked curiously.
- I didn't leave you alone for a second – he answered while he sat back to his table to finish his dinner.
- Thanks, Deán – I smiled at his back, not caring that he couldn't see it. I remembered him carrying me back to his room... I was sure that the Heaven Seers looked at him like he was a lunatic. But maybe it was forgivable, considering that I was his supporter.
- There is nothing to say thanks for – he said as he packed back everything onto the tray, leaving one behind with my food on it. – I will go and take it back to the kitchen, all right? Will you be fine?
- I won't die, don't worry – I smiled. After he left, I went back to my thoughts. I tried to remember the things I heard clearly...but it felt like a simple mess. Nothing was significant or meaningful.
Except for the words "You won't be able to save them." But... who? Someone was in danger and for some reason, my guts told me that it was someone dear to me. Someone important to me.
Fear started to fill my brain up. The voices told me the most possible future in that moment. So, as I was right then, I was not enough to save people important to me... And I wasted this day too... I didn't get stronger but weaker. And I had no idea what was coming, but my voices were clear that it would be like a nightmare.
When Deán arrived back to his room, he found me sitting on the bed, staring into nothing, gently shaking.
- I am not strong enough – I murmured weakly. Deán hurried over to snap me out of it. He gently grabbed my upper arm to pull me closer for a kiss on my cheek.
- I was so worried about you, Winnie – he told me.
- And now I'm so worried about everyone – I sighed.
- You don't see the absolute future, never forget this. Every day you improve yourself and change it somehow – he said.
- I don't know. I feel like there is something I don't see here, like I can't understand the bigger picture – I shook my head confusedly. Something was wrong but I couldn't even tell what it was. What kind of a clairvoyant I was...
- Try to forget this a little and rest, all right? And... I want to thank you, Winnie – he seemed hesitant first, but he eventually said it.
- For what?
- The sorcerers made a strong barrier around the Sword of the Draagon and the Sword of the Water Leaper. My mother decided to give it a try and she left her room with my sister... it happened like an hour ago and still nothing bad happened to her. They would have informed me otherwise – Deán explained.
